Title: Suggestion - Light Removal Tool
Post by: Talan Va'lash on June 04, 2005, 09:30:00 PM
is it possible to make a Light Removal Tool?  A one use item like a visual effect that can remove the light (not the visual effect) from an item or weapon.

Seems like an easier way to have the same results as the craftable light system.  Even if the craftable light system gets put in at some point it would be nice to have these to remove light from items that already have it.

It could just be sold at the craft vendor, I don't think it would really need to be craftable.

Don't think of them as seperate things. It's the visual effect that's giving off the light.

The flames, or lightning, or acid or frost, the elemental effect is what is shedding the light. They really aren't meant to be treated as two seperate things.

When I originally made the weapons they were sans light. They were later modified for the above reason and I imagine that reason still holds true.

What about for things like elemental resistances..
I understand that flames and lightening should give off light (like on a sword) but just because my cape now protects against fire.. should it really have to give off that eery red glow?
