Title: Just a question concerning Tieflings...

I need to know if Tieflings were born Tieflings, or they are specially "Plane-Touched", and began as normal humans. Clarification, anyone?

My Tiefling was always a tiefling, but the norm seems to be that near puberty the infernal or abyssal blood begins to make the changes that create a tiefling.
