I saw Batman Begins last night, and before you go all, "It doesn't come out 'till Wednesday" on me, remember I work at the movie theatre in my town and get free movies whenver we get the reels in. We got Batman in yesterday so whammo! free movie! Don't worry, I'm not going to ruin anything, but in my opinion, go see it. Some of the acting is sub-par I'll admit, but its still a great movie, and I would suggest seeing it (just don't be mad at me if you don't like it).

I have been waiting for this since the train wreck that was 'Batman & Robin' Still get a bad taste in my mouth from that one. From what I've read (and that's a lot) it is supposed to be THE definitive Batman movie. Don't go looking for Adam West and "POW!" or Joel Schumacher's anatomically correct bat suit. But if you're looking for a gritty and realistic (yes, realistic) Batman, this is the one for you. How can you go wrong with Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman, Christian Bale? I have tickets for Wednesday night. Can't concentrate at work until I see it. I've been a Batman fan since I was around 3. My twins dress up in Batman and Robin costumes. My two year old freaks out when he watches 'The Batman' cartoon on Saturdays. I'll shut up now.........

True. It is definitely the most realistic out of all of the Batman movies.

The Scarecrow and Hannibal Lector both equally inspired me to take psych as a major. one more semester and I can get a liscense to kill! errr, practice!

YES! I found the issue of Justice League where Scarecrow brought the entire team to their knees! He completely made them afraid of their own greatest powers...
Superman- afraid of heights!
Batman- afraid of the dark!
Robin- Afraid of BATS! ahahaha!
Wonder Woman- afraid of metal (she rips off her bracers that keep her from going crazy)
Aquaman- afraid of water!
Green Lantern- afraid of GREEN!
Unfortunately all the other members were absent from the issue. A great read anyhow!

I really enjoyed it as well. I thought that Christian Bale is the best Batman yet. :) It was the most realitic one and I liked that it wasn't bizarre.

Heh :) . I just watched it again. Took my dad to see it for father's day so he can remember the glory days of when Batman was still on the drawing boards. He was all proud that he knew about Batman. I've never seen a man his age get so excited about mixing two different flavors together in an Icee. I bought him one and he was like a kid in a candy store telling them what to mix together.

All I Got was a U.S. NAVY Pocket watch & the Star Wars E3 "Whos Your Daddy" "Fathers Day 2005" poster. from my oldest boy (he works for Star Cinama) And a $50 gift card from the younger boy.

If you haven't seen it yet, I urge you to do so (even if you're not into comic book movies, this is still a good film). I've seen it twice and my wife and I are going to see it in IMAX this weekend. Hopefully, I won't get motion sickness. It didn't do as well at the box office as was predicted but word-of-mouth seems to be good. I would give it 5/5 stars. I know, I know, I'm really biased but I want this movie to do well so it will spawn some sequels.
Those of you that have seen it, what did you think?

I absolutely loved it. To me it was the best Batman movie yet, and certainly the most realistic.

One question, why does Gotham look different in all but the first two? Those were the same, but in every movie since it has been different. Complete with new cars and technology..

The answer lies with the directors: Tim Burton did the first two and gotham looked pretty cool. Joel Schumacher (yuck) did 3 and 4 with its mutli-colored neon lights and fluorescent gangs. Christopher Nolan directed the latest one, quite a bit of Gotham was filmed in Chicago. Nolan's, to me, looks the most like a big city in the US.

An opinion of a person who is not very fond of the movie, this is why
a) It's comic based, everything that ends with a "man" causes allergy in me
b) It's Hollywood made, I don't watch almost any movies lately, because most of them are Hollywood made. And I won't lie if I will say that 90% of their movies are worth nothing. Of course they do have the special effects and all, but they just don't do it for me now.
c) The whole super hero, one man army concept is just not acceptable for me, it is simply too overplayed and boring beyond belief.
Don't take it as an offence against Batman, every other mainstream action movie simply discusts me. I don't see how you can watch them over and over again, when the only thing changes is the name of the character and the actor.
That concludes my rant :)

Heh, i actually like those 'one man army' movies, simply because when i want to chill out and watch a movie with my friends or family, those are the best for me.
Sure, they are usually no-brain movies, but everyone likes explosions and guns. ;)

My faith in the Batman franchise was revitalized after seeing this version. Not many people knew much back story and now they can start from the ground and work their way up to one of the best movie series of all time, being that the same group does it. I am somewhat biased though, Batman is one of my heroes. Just love the story. And GO SEE IT!!

Batman is my favorite superhero of all time and I see it as an advantage to critique the movies. While I am biased and I love pretty much anything Batman, it also helps because I expect more out of the movies. I want my favorite super hero's movie to be great and wonderful. And I mean, the story line, the acting, the special effects, everything in this movie in my opinion was absolutely great.

Valdosta Stadium Cinemas. Its part of the Georgia Theatre company and the theatre is in south Georgia (Valdosta...obviously :) ).
