First pass a a Layonara Route Planner,
Would this be usefull to anyone?
Comments most welcome.
-
This is fantastic! You forgot the route from Leilon to Hurm on Dregar but that is okay and easily fixed (it is a new route after all). I love the look of the map. Great job. You guys/gals constantly amaze me at your talents.
Hey Ed, we need this in the handbook. :)
-
That's Great! Very Helpful.

Wow..right on. That is very cool:D
-
Really cool :)
-
Is it strange that it won't load for me?
-
Fantastic!
-
Looks very cool indeed, one comment though :) could you add the division between Serpent and Dragon Isles?
Then I'd be happy to put it into the next version of the handbook.
-
Heh heh, great as always Rasterick ;)
-
I like it a lot, great job! :)
-
Well done
-
Wonderful work!
-
Thanks, looks really good.
So when do you make the world-map of Layonara in the same style?
;) ;) ;) ;)
Looks good (and prints nicely)

Currently working on the World Map, cant decide if to make it an atlas of many pages, providing more detail; or a large tiled map. I will be posting samples for comments soon.

i *REALLY* like the coloration theme you did with this. It looks very much like a pirate map on that old salty parchment they use. excellent work!
-
Could you put up a higher res version of it? Some of the names of towns are a bit blurry even when zoomed in.
-
The final version will be high res, had to do it this way as the upload is limited to 100kb. Final version fits conveniently on A4 or US letter.
L is proof reading the latest one now.. :)
-
Outstanding work! This will prove to be very useful.
Thanks for sharing with us all.

Have just finished the final draft. For those that wish to download it here is the link:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.mitchell2/RouteMap_Flags.jpg
Right click, select save as, and download it to your own machine. It can be scaled to fit onto a sheet of A4 or US Letter sized paper and should still retain its resolution when printed.

Great job Rasterick, thank you. I look foward to many more of your maps. :)
-
That's great work Rasterick, very authentic and helpful.
I was wondering if some mispelled words were put in for flavour or just the fact you typoed. There are a few words:
gaurantee should be guarantee
saftey should be safety
ofender should be offender
Fort Valensk should be Fort Velensk, according to the handbook and the area names, I'm going to fix any other instances in the mod where its spelled Valensk.
Again great work, a welcome addition to our content.

Excellent :D
What's the route in red, between Enderal and serpent Isle?
Also maybe you could change smoking is not permited between decks to: below deck. Since you're going to be correcting some spelling errors ;)
-
I find it hard to believe that my first language is Englich...I really should have paid more attention to the English teacher at school. *removes dictionary from under broken table leg*
The route in red is for one of those very small boats.
Path me old mate, between decks is in the old naval vernacular. Below decks is what a land lubber would say... ;)
-
This is awesome! I just wanted to say thanks for all the effort you put into it so we could enjoy it. Thanks! There I said it. :)
-
Aaarh! to thee plank with ye, ye barnicle :p
And thanks ;)
-
Arh no Path lad, not the plank. Anything but the plank me hearties..
-
Great job...Keep up the good work.
