Title: An RP question...
Post by: Nuzatch on June 15, 2005, 12:26:00 AM
So I was wondering if say, I saw that a cleric of Aragen was submitted and approved, if I would catch wind that they might be headed to Hlint and I could greet them as if I had heard of them when I first saw them.

Just a different way to think about it, because, well, if a new Aregenite Cleric was named, and had an RP background to support it, I probably might have heard about it.

For that matter, if you're a cleric of Toran, wouldn't you hear about a new up and coming paladin?  For that matter, being the champions of righteousness that they are, wouldn't a fellow paladin/cleric of Toran be somewhat excited to meet them and "see what they're made of"  type thing?

Just thoughts, as I know it's a big world, but much like how "real" religeon works, people hear about people through the grapevine.  Dunno, just thought this was kind of an interesting thing to bring up RP-wise.

Would that not depend upon how big the order is, what your status is within the order, and what city you live in (assuming there is more than one church for a given religion spread out in various cities)?

If there are only 100 of you, then it is more likely that news has gone round of a new member. If there are 2000 of you spreadout in three cities, I doubt you would have heard unless you were one of the head bishops of the church you're in.

 It sure would.
