Tongue of the Sun and Moon (Ex): A monk of 17th level or higher can speak with any living creature.
The above was taken from the 3.5 SRD online manual http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/sovelior_sage/home.html (http://([url))]here.[/url] Does this apply to Layonara at all? If it does, do we simply RP it as that, or is there a language ear for it?

Nope, don't think it applies here.
Though it hasn't really been discussed before... But I don't think it should apply. There are a lot of things in PnP that just don't work in here, for all the classes. Good to keep it this way... Of course maybe later we might add stuff like this from PnP but it would have to be something for all the classes.

To add this I think you'd need to add the language system wholesale... 1 language per intelligence modifier and being able to spend skill points to learn new ones. It wouldn't be right to theoretically have a stupid as a stump monk be able to understand everyone, while an extremely intelligent human mage may spend game years around elves speaking elven and not understand it.

Acctually it was discussed before, and it was said that it was something that was dropped in later editions. Whats an SRD anyway? Your link seems to be dead.

Sorry about the link. And thank you for the answers. I was just wondering if there was something in place. It seems a little too complicated to have anything added to the game mechanics.
