Title: Items....A confused Drow wonders, a spider helps
Post by: Necromedon on July 11, 2005, 04:32:00 PM
* A confused Drow sits at a table in the Inn. *  * Writing to himself, he contemplates his question as best he can *

Hmmmmm, items.  Items, and items, so confusing.  I have often gone to the Market Hall in search of items, but I am confused.
So confused, this common language, these names, while so ordinary to those above, give me pains in the head.  How does one know
the attributes of an item?  I can read well enough.  When it says cougar leather, or jaguar leather, or an enchantment of some sort,
how do I know its specifics?  I wonder, is there somewhere for me to find out?  Could there be a note somewhere that has been placed, that
in my searching I have carelessly overlooked?  No, that cannot be.  These surface dwellers must know these things inherently.  I saw the pricing
guide.  Nicely done, and quite informative.  Half of the problem was taken care of there, but now the rest.  I don't like bothering people, sometimes
I don't know which people to bother.  A Drow is not always welcome, and I would rather avoid confrontations over my race.  The question still lies then.
These musing have not answered anything...

* In frustration he crumbles the note and leaves it on the table.  Preferring the dark of night that peers in through the windows, he slides out. *

* A spider, watching over his shoulder, spins its web down to the table.  Gingerly grabbing at the note, it attaches it to the wall with its web *

Morton's tailoring has the properties for many items listed in the trade and market hall.

I guess another question.  What does the max dexterity bonus number mean?  Also I noticed in some other threads that these armors have lvl restrictions.  Is this true? If so, then in Minerva's pictures, how could I tell what lvl was required for each?

Thanks again,

...it would only show the items she couldent equipe yet.. so some of thouse items might be restricted to lvl 9 and up, but she lets say is lvl 10, so it dosent bother to show that i belive. And by the way, taht looks great, when i open a stonr ill do it like that, great idea.

oh and the max dex thing, that is the max dex bounes you can add to armor for that armor, lets say you have a dex 20, tah is a +5 i thank, that would add 5 to your armor so long as the clothing you wore allowed a dex of 5. If it only allows for a dex of 2, then only 2 points of your dex bounes will be added to your armor. full plate is a 0 i belive, so a char witha  +5 to dex will not be able to add any of his/her dex to the armor. That might help, if not ill try to explain better.
