Title: Storytellers Night
Post by: Meizter on July 16, 2005, 06:40:00 PM
I would like to thank all those that made it to/were involved in the storytellers night, the audience, the performers and the GM's who made the Hlint sewer look so nice :)

It was a blast, thank you :)

The stories were very well done. Quite phenomenal.

And yes, the sewers never looked so lovely. ;)

Well done and thanks for having this! I look forward to more.

I want to apologize to everyone who was expecting Owen to be there.  When he woke up this morning his throat was raw from practicing his telling of his tale.

//Actually I had a heck of a day.  Lightning took out my firewall.  So I replaced it and lightning took that one out while I was away.  Then I came home to find my basement flooded.  You all might just want to keep a safe distance from Owen.  He apparently has a curse floating over his head. :)  I am sorry to those involved in the event.  I will make the next one for sure.  Thanks to meizter for setting it up and the others for performing.

Thanks to everybody who came out to this.  I really had fun tonight.
It wouldn't have been successful without the audience... And  you guys were great!  *loved the reactions*

For those that missed out on this event, you can read the Storyteller's recollection here (http://www.layonaraonline.com/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=15607&posts=2#M92135).

I am sorry I missed it, it sounds like alot of fun.

Ash may have to show up for the next one, and tell the tale of Namar the Betrayer. I don't think the tale of the Dragon and the Drift Wood would do so well here though ...

Maybe about the Fighter-apult ... heh

Or about the Isle of the Abbey ...

I was planning to be there but there was some evil to be hunted when this was on.

I hope to be there another time to enjoy the tales.

Storytellers' night was thoroughly enjoyable and is something I'd like to see more often, as a player, and a character. Such events are where legends are born, stories of the heroes (or anti-heroes) we all aspire to be.

Also, I'd like to maybe see some of the extraordinary bard talent combined in the form of a play.  I think that would be incredible.

Great job guys!!!!!
