A line in Leanthar's recent post about roleplaying and racism got me thinking (uh-oh!). "You can spit on the ground at their feet or something like that but I am requesting (not making it a rule mind you—at this time) to not do it to the character personally"
So as I once again create another thread about racism and roleplaying (sorry, Zhofe, just saw your post on the 7 Thread Rule...thought this was the best place to put this!)
I think it might be interesting to hear from people about some ways we can roleplay the racial tensions that do exist in an effective manner. Because I think they are important, but as with most things, it's all in the approach.
What sorts of activities/gestures/emotions/facial expressions have people used to express this? Just curious...throwing it out there...

Well. i would really just use my imagination, and send a tell to the other player, which im going to do from now on for the sake of all parts in this, maybe something like: "Hello, the following curses and mockeries are for RP purposes only, if you at any time feel uncomfortable in this just tell me to stop and i will respect that. If not, lets play..
Maybe even do a //"Hello..." so all parts can see it and take a screenshot just in case :) no just kidding. But the subject has been pretty well disgussed by now and im permanently shutting up about this heh.
