I just had a look at my character again, human, level 5 (4 barb/1 wiz), and to reach his next level he needs to get to 40,000 xp.
I compared this to an offline character I use in the OC's, level 8 wiz, and to reach his next level it is also 40,000 xp.
Just wondering if this is a bug, or if Layonara change the number of xp required to reach each new level.
Thanks!

The Experience Point chart is different in Layonara. Take a look here:

Holy kahunas! 31360000 To get to level 40! I'd better get crackin' some bloody skulls!
-
Trust me, you ain't getting to lvl40 by just cracking skulls :)
-
Well, I'll RP some of the way. *crackcrackcrackcrackcrack*

Hmm.... you get to level 40 by...
killing bloodstone?
becoming leanthar's personal assistant?
starting a new leilon resort and charging people 10xp a drink?

Did I read the opening to this thread right? A Barbarian/Wizard? Am I dating myself or was I raised in believing Barbarians hated magic???

Even barbarians have shamans, though a cleric or druid would be more fitting, I really do not see a big problem here.

Maybe he was trained at first to be a wizard, but he was a very... VERY angry child.
"ALEISTER SMASH!"
"No, Al! Not my Alchemy equipment!"
-
:D I can so see that happening!
-
Only because out of Layonara, he's a very angry man.
And by that I mean he actually finds humor in most... everything. So he isn't really angry at all. Just... a dink.

Don't know how that was meant. Not sure I want to know.

From what I would understand being Leanthers personal assistnt would be the wrong way to level. If his assistant had only a fraction of the workload they would still never get to play. But you might gain access to the secret key that opens the little shack near the bindstone in Hlint.
edit:just kidding on that workload thing...we all know it is a cakewalk running a huge, outstanding persistant world. I mean I have 4. they are j ust secret so no one knows about them.

I wonder, continuously what's in there.
Darn you, Hlint, being non-PvP area, making it impossible for me to break down a door! Darn you!

Read Deodus Roman's history in the Char Approval (or Recent Char Approval) forums. Yes barbarians can be wizards as well if they like. Heck, since even Ogres can be mages, I'm pretty sure a human barbarian who is in his 20's can choose a different path.
(either way the character got approved so the DM's seem to think it's OK)
EDIT: Spelling

I actually meant personal assistant in real life ... running errands, mowing the lawn, making coffee, doing the bills... etc. Must be a US thing, but having a PA is very trendy (http://'http://www.fabjob.com/celebrity.asp').
