Title: Question regarding item dropping in the world

I have an idea (kind of like making a mini-quest on the fly) but I need to know what happens to items that a PC drops.

How long do they stay on the ground before disappearing? Or do they stay as long as you don't exit the area? Or do they just stay indefinitely?

They will stay untill the clean-up script runs, or a player leaves or enters the area I believe, which isn't long. It helps reduce the load on the game engine having to keep track of all those maidens dropping thier kerchiefs.

Ah, as I thought. (which is actually great since I notice that the lag on Layonara is not bad at all considering the huge size and number of players on at once)
