Hi there,
I think about writing a little tool for the deeds. I know that it is difficult for younger adventures (like me) to imagagine how the deeds look, because you may never seen one before. It would be a tool, out of the game, well I'm thinking about write it for them with a full list of all avaible deeds, each with a small pic, so you would know, how it would look like; deeds are expensive for those who haven't a lot of money after buying a house, so they would be able to see the deed before they would buy it. And I want to write an own calculater with it, saying if you buy this two times and this one, you will have to pay this...
Well, would be there interest?
I would need some GM help, because I will not be able to buy each deed, too expensive for me ;) buying every deed only for a screenshoot ;)
With regards, Lord of the Forest

I don't remember where I saw it, but I think someone already posted a collection of screenshots of what all the placeables look like.

minerva now has the deeds and will be making images of each of them as she gets time. This is a very time-consuming process, so again, please just be patient and they will get done as her schedule allows.
-
sure,
I'll wait. I will be very busy on this weekend ;) and some homeworks still want to be finished ;)
I'm young, I've got time.
-
Can the deeds actually be used...I noticed an alcadamy table - can that be used for alcadamy purposes and can the oven be used for cooking?
Tedulas Darkhand.
-
Some deeds can, others cannot.
Trashcans and bathtubs, for instance, are usable, as are chests, armoires, crates, dressers, bookshelves and any other containers we might have. Chairs, couches and benches can be used to sit on as well.
As it currently stands, working CNR crafting stations (alchemy, enchanting, etc.) will not be permitted in player housing. This also applies to guild halls. Maybe this rule will change some day, but I doubt it.
-
As stated that some deeds are usable and some are not, could some certain ones be made into storage variants?
The weapon rack, for example, could be given the chest equivalent of storage capacity. It seems that it cannot be used as such at the moment
Another possibility would be the combat dummy, could another one be made as an armor stand, again with the chest holding capacity
It just kinda makes sense that crafters, or store owners, would like like their wares displayed, rather than stuffed into boxes.
Possibly as trophies as well.
It makes for great stories having friends over for dinner or something, and all of a sudden, they spot a suit of armor and helm propped on a stand, surrounded by racks of weapons glowing with their own lights, and they just have to ask how you got them.
Same goes for the retired people too. Just spending a quite night at home by a good fire, drink in hand, sitting in your favorite chair, looking through your old gear set up along one wall, just reliving your glory-days in your mind
-
DBlaze - I can tell you this .. the armor stand idea is in the game but since it is actually a creature and not a placeable you can't purchase it as a placeable. I must say though it is quite cool to put a piece of armor on it and then see it actually on the armor stand.

Thanks Aragon, or even any clothing to a degree
I mean Zhofe's Vivian, as a Dress maker, would surely love the opportunity to have all her creations on display.
Here's hoping you come up with something then for players to get a hold of *crosses fingers*

Sorry all,
but I have no time to finish this little fine tool this week, have to learn all the days for my theoretical test for my driver licence, will continue writing this prog after tuesday next week ;) thanks for the great pics, minerva =)
-
Aragon, Do we have a way to place a creature (armor stand) IG and make it persistant? I'm thinking that would probably have to be done in the toolset eh?
-TV
-
or another thought, would it be possible to take an existing item, like the placeable chest, and alter it's visual to that of the armor stand, then just rename and save it?
This way it doesn't count as a creature, and works just like it is wanted to, though, actually seeing what is placed on it IG would be a big step after thatas Aragon describes it, but it's a start.
-
Yeah =)
I guess it's my grudge.... I only can think about this little prog; I almost spend all my time in continue programming it. I keep on going very fast, maybe it will be finish end of this week ;)
however, I still found some deeds I still don't have...
grand piano
spear rack
weapon rack
picture woman green dress
I hope this are all.
Well, only something with the design, start-up and two different print-functions and it will be ready ;)

Only a short response if this is true... I tested it but everything seemed to be alright...
