Title: Mythology: Origin of Xeen?
Post by: Vincent on August 25, 2005, 04:38:00 AM
I see that Xeen is the child of Corath and Lucinda, who are enemies and opposing alignments.  So... how in the world did this happen?

They were both really, really drunk.  That's why Xeen is so big on wine. ;)

They were not always enemies, nor unfriendly.... I will leave it at that. :)

The dirty little secret here is that Corath fell behind on his child support payments, which caused Lucinda to take him to court and sue for full custody.  The legal battles continued until Xeen was an adult, but the animosity remained. ;)

This is certainly one of the funnier and more entertaining threads I've read.

Actually, now that I think about it, LV is probably right.  Lucinda and Corath used to be in a biker gang when they were younger, but while Lucinda grew out of her rebellious phase early, Corath went goth, and that's why he plays with dead things now.

(Grew out of her rebellious phase?  a Chaotic goddess?  hah!  I really need to think these things through before I post them for the sake of comedy...)

Sort of like the movie Little Nicky. The result of an angel getting it on with the devil, after a bit too much nip. It can happen :)

Says a Xeenite.

I figure what happened is this:

Corath was a goodly typed mage. Hooray for goodly typed mages!

So was Lucinda.

They had a kid.

Because of Lucinda's pregnancy, Corath went berzerk. And then started toying with death.

And thus they split apart. Where's Xeen in all this?

Growing up without a father figure in her life, hitting the bottle hard, and winding up selling her body for hooch money. At the epic deity level. Yep.
