Been thinking about this one for a while now. It would be nice, if upon failing while enchanting an emerald/diamond with an ability, the crafter would recieve a flawed diamond/emerald. These are expensive gems and it is just sad to see them go "poof". So even if one fails with enchanting, the person will still have the dust.

*with less character and will to contribute, again*
Agreed.

How about... "I concur."?
-
Synpox, do not cuss on the forums.
-
*sighs*
I can point out several posts with far worse than that. But alright, Leanthar. Thank you for setting me straight..
*goes to edit his post*

That may be but I missed it or I would have said the same thing.
-
Some comment about the topic would be great :)
-
*chuckles* I have seen the post.... When I get to it (gotta get some time and that is very difficult to come by right now) I will evaluate it when I am looking at other things.
-
L what are your thoughts on this?
-
Thanks for point me to this thread again Orth. I think we need to use the same system for all gems, regardless of gem 'value'. Sorry, but it makes sense to use the same system across the board.
-
Well here's the thing.
If you enchant any gem right now, just generic "Enchanted Ruby" for example, if you fail you get a Flawed Gem.
If you enchant an alexandrite/diamond/emerald with an Ability Spell to make Ability Rings/Amulets (ie Gold Diamond Ring of Endurance II), if you fail that, you do not get a Flawed Gem.
Is this how you wish to keep it? I think it should return the Flawed Gem in the second case as well.

P.S. Plen can't fail at enchanting any of them, so I'm not biased :)
-
Thanks for the explaination Orth. Lets give them a flawed version across the board on failures.
-
Right boss, fixed in next update.
-
Thank you Orth.
-
Was this changed in the update on the 11th? I didn't see it in the list of changes.
Thanks
-
Yes it was.
