Title: Reading and writing (lessen und schriben) :)
Post by: darkwulf365 on September 09, 2005, 05:34:00 PM: Ok...Daren, he can't read or write very well (and can barely talk, if you've ever had a chance to listen to him)...only small words, he's been working on it a lot (every night according to my CD thread) now...Jil, his significant other, can do both very well, would it be appropriate to RP through her teaching him and then be able to perform both? I know he can't become an author immedately, but I can advance his reading skills a little faster now?. I'm just wondering how to RP this properly (mostly through my CD thread), since I plan on asking for some ears later on (Elvish and Drow) and this'd be a good way to sort of start that off.

Post by: darkwulf365 on September 09, 2005, 05:36:00 PM: Int is a natural 10 (up from 9 on creation, I planned on Int increases over the course of his carreer), Wis natural 17 buffed to 18 because of a belt of cunning.

Post by: Leanthar on September 09, 2005, 05:47:00 PM: Maybe I missed something but it looks like the last post is where you started learning to read/write. Is that true? If so you need to practice this (in rp in the world) and post a few threads about this for at least one full RL month. Then we can approve it. Then later we can go from there on the languages. Just keep in mind languages require a bonus to learn.
So an Int of 12 (+1) will allow you to learn one new language
Int of 14 (+2) will allow you to learn to new languages
