Apodyopsis - The act of mentally undressing someone

Colposinquanonia - Estimating a woman's beauty based on her chest

Exsibilation - The collective hisses of a disapproving audience

Lalochezia - The use of foul or abusive language to relieve stress or ease pain

Sphallolalia - Flirtatious talk that leads nowhere

Strikhedonia - The pleasure of being able to say 'to hell with it'

Tarantism - An urge to overcome melancholy by dancing

Found these surfing the web.  Had to repost them.  Aren't they fun?

Wow, the English language has a word for everything...Here's a little something i gathered from "The Far Side"

Luposlipophobic-The fear of being chased around a kitchen table on a newly waxed floor by timber wolves

I'm gonna see if i can incorporate this into my character online  ;)

Tarantism - An urge to overcome melancholy by dancing

I'm having trouble with this one.  Not the word.  The concept of dancing to overcome anything is outside the boundaries of my reality.

I have a calendar of "forgotten" English words and phrases, archaic stuff that has either changed into a new word or has just stopped being used.  Here are a few I liked:

month's mind - an eager wish or longing

scraffle - When loose change is flung among a mob, they are said to scraffle for it.

quiffing the bladder - drawing the long hair over to hide a bald pate

take a flourish - to enjoy a woman in a hasty manner, with her clothes on or without going to bed

byblow - an illegitamate child

antepenultimate - pertaining to the last syllable but two (so the antepenultimate syllable in 'antepenultimate' is 'ul')

manurement - cultivation or improvement
