people, please lets keep the ooc chatter down to zero.. there is really no need for it. especially in party mode. i
i'm not a DM but the party mode does go through to the DM channel and from some of the partys i am in i can just guess at what they here.
this is an RP sever so anything anyone can hear should be IC. If you want to chat with a friend of make an oos comment to someone use a 'tell'. thats what it is there for. heck sometims if i'm with a friend going somewhere we may just use 'tells'.
i'm not saying this to be a jerk but it gets old hearing stuff like 12k to level.. i just leveled.. and other ooc comments.

*nods to Gloin* Agreed. Please try to keep OOC chatter down to tells whenever possible. Thanks.

Though I do try to stay out of the OOC comments for the sake of good RP, when I leave the game I do have a tendency to say goodbye once via an OOC instead of sending the five or six individual tells depending upon which of my friends happen to be playing at that moment. When it is just Lushen and I, then I do it via TELL since it is just one entry. (yes, we are a group of RL friends who play together ... six of us all together)
I hope you wouldn't consider this 'getting old to hear' ;)
I will agree though that whether in party mode or not ... //12k to level ... should be a tell and left away from OOC all together.
I think there can be a few circumstances where OOC can be tolerated ... asking a question of clarification that is not directed towards a particular person thus being asked of the group to me is okay. Why ask the same question over and over in various tells especially if it might be pertinent.
OOCs down to Zero ... not likely ... but minimizing the OOCs to essentials is very do-able. I'm not sure about the rest of you, but having played pnp type games for many years, OOC questions happen in any type of RPing world.

Vellyn, that is all we are asking for on this OOC stuff. We are not trying to be tyrants or anything like that, not even close. OOC chatter takes people out of the immersiveness feel but it is also necisarry from time to time. So long as people are conscious of this and are making an effort to control it, and it is clear that an effort is being made, then there really is no issue.

I do try to keep the OOC in tells. But sometimes there are moments that you have to reach several persons. Believe me I tried, but it can be very irritating to have multiple Tell-discussions (you have to call it something) about the same subject.

eh, as long as you denote the OOC with some sort of accent, such as //// or simply OOC:, it doesn't bother me, assuming you don't do this constantly. If you have to OOC that much, like the others said, do it in tells, it's what it's for.
