On the rule of no evil characters, does that mean anything with EVIL in it?
so: Lawful Evil
Neutral Evil
Chaotic evil
are all not chooseable unless you have one character at least lvl 10 and have played for certain # of months.
So if i wanted to become an assassin I would have to have met the Layonara requires and have a CDQ or something to become an evil type character?
So is Neutral Evil a class that can be choosen at a later date or.........?
thanks in advance

Right, no alignments with Evil ... and if you do try and RP to evil by following the process of levels and months, then you still have to go through an evil CDQ for the evil character
You can NEVER be chaotic evil however.
-
don't want to be.
So Neutral would be okay?
But i would prefer not being evil at all but i need to, to become an assassin and know i can play heartless and just plain Evil. Zeos was pretty much it.
any ways, it will take me the time needed just to reach level 10 anyways. he is.
thanks

Evil is heavily restricted. Only a very small handful of characters on this server have qualified for and moved toward taking on an Evil alignment. And that was after many RL months of solid RP and character justifications that led to a logical progression to Evil.
Those characters who have become Evil must be approved for such before even beginning the shift to Evil. If, for example, you have a TN character, you are expected to play a TN alignment, not a NE alignment. In other words, the GM team has to be comfortable with your ability to RP one's alignment properly, and even more important, to RP that alignment properly within the setting of Layonara. Evil here, for characters, doesn't mean stealing from and/or murdering other characters. Do that, and you're gone.
If by some freak chance your character descends to Chaotic Evil, your character automatically becomes an NPC, and you can no longer play that character. Lawful Evil and Neutral Evil are your only choices.
Edit: Don't look at Level 10 as some magic number, because it's not.

.........................*looks blankly*
I think i may just stay rogue......
Becoming an evil alignment just to use Assassin sounds extremly difficult and long winded.....
-
hehe...well, on top of Evil being restricted, so is Assassin...so you'd first have to become Evil, and then you'd have to work toward becoming an assassin....
...and Zeos is cranky now....sheesh! ;)

I believe that you are confusing the requirements to apply for a CN character with what it takes to be an evil character. There is no set level associateed with the ability to go evil . It comes with lots of time good RP and CDQs as dorganath stated above.

i thought that you also needed to have a character of at least lvl 10? and to have played a certain amount of time to play any evil alignment?
ah ok i get it.
-
And CE is completely restricted to NPCs.
Edit- You know, I read that post twice and still didn't see it mentioned. Here's my redundant post of the day.

Okay. this is what i'm going to do. I'm going to just RP my new guy out and if it so happens that he RPs into becoming more heartless and evil then thats what will happen, If it doesn't happen then he will stay rogue.

thats a good way to look at it. "Going" evil because you "have to" to play an assassin isnt really... good. heh.
