Heya, Just need a bit of advice.
I'm really enjoying my character Leolaka and he is doing well in combat. Now, to get his defence up a bit I'm wearing some padded armor (5% arcane spell failure). It adds 1 to AC - But there isn't a varity of padded leather armors.
So, I'm wandering if I should go up to leather armor - It's 10% arcane spell failure. And it adds 2 to AC - and I can get several good leathers like jaguar leather which gives like 3 tumble, 3 spot and 3 listen or something which would be good for scouting.
But the problem is - I will be casting some enchanting and illusional spells in combat. (Like one cast before combat to hold a monster in place or something before engaging)
I thinking I will wear normal clothes to cast my buffs before combat.
I'm a tailorist so I can make these pretty okish.
Just some advice from others really - Keep with Padded armor or go to Leather armor?

The lack of padded armor styles in the game should not last that much longer.

For now leather is much better and the skill bonuses are real useful. If you are playing a fighter/mage type character cant you take a Spellsword PrC?

I myself as a bard only use leather armors even though I have the 10% arcane spell failure. It is so little that it doesn't really matter in my opinion.

Ohhhhhhhh - How much longer? I thought they weren't gunna bother because no leathers are involved.
Thanks for the replies as well!

Probably with the next major update, coming before the end of the year. Of course, then everyone has to still find the new CNR for them. *snickers*
