Just watched a bunch of idiots we call "professional divers" do some cliff diving
one guy had bottomed out on a pool a week before the big cliff diving, he cracked BOTH heels that day.
He decided that he was no longer injured after three days of recuperation and dove
The 16 mph impact of the dive... forced... both heels... up.. and over... his ankles...
it was the most painful looking thing I've seen in a very very very long time...
my heels are hurting just thinking about it.
Please... don't cliff dive while injured...

Thats cause the moron went in feet first.
Its a much smoother entrance hands first.

And if it goes wrong, at least you won't survive to be suffering the pain...

Sadly, society and medicine has progressed to the point where we no longer 'LET' the stupid die when the cause of their injury is thier own stupidity... nooooo we get a smart person to risk THEIR life diving in after the morons to drag their dumb behinds out of danger so we can rush them to the hospital and fix them up for the next time.
I think the world would be a better place if stupidity weren't rewarded with second chances.

Hmm, indeed, but how on earth did the guy think his heels were fine after just 3 days. Was he on some very stong pain killers or something?

I misspelled it three times actually. which is completely aside from the point of the topic. If we really want to crack the thesaurus this thread is going to devolve quickly.

These people were professionals... olympic divers who were participating in an extreame sport.... cliff diving.
oh and if they had gone hand's first.. they would probably have ripped a few fingers off or snapped their necks.. you don't fall that far into water by anything but feet first
