In the Neverwinter Grimoire v3.0, under the Polymorph Self/Shapechange forms, it says that the death slaad form has various spells available, but I can't find these spells when I try to test this out (with a level 20 Sorcerer). Is this my problem or the Grimoire's? Does anyone know?

Try using the Radial menue. If it has any special abilities/spells that's where it'll be. I haven't tried it though, so I don't know.

None of the polymorph spells shapes have any spells of their own and their special abilities are all non selectable. For instance the Death Slaad has regeneration as well as a host of other immunities, the Dragon has immunities too as well as true seeing, the golem is a catalogue of immunities etc etc.

What steve said *points up*.
The arcane polymorph/shapechange have unique qualities for each creature type only, but nothing selectable (like the red dragon's breathweapon, or the iron golem's gas attack)
Only the Druid and Shifter natural Wildshapes have abilities usable while transformed.
I always thought this a bit odd, seeing as how it is said that the spells use magic to change you. And through that change, you become 'exactly' what that creature is, including switching subraces and losing all equipped item bonuses.
If a character has 'become' a different creature 100%, by magic or no, they should have access to the creatures natural abilities.
It's probably a balancing issue i guess because a wizard will be able to turn into some pretty powerful things very quickly(not counting a whole variety of spell buffs), while the druid must wait longer to do the same, but will get creature features too.
Or bioware got lazy*shrugs* ;)

Alright, that's what I thought, but the manual.. er grimoire made me hope for a second. Thanks for the replies!
