Hey, I made a meme! Only for guys, though. Not enough female Supreme Losers of Uber-Pathetic Status.
To be a Supreme Loser of Uber-Pathetic Status, a guy must (be, is, is a, etc.)...
[ ] 40(+) years old.
[ ] Living with his mother.
[ ] Balding.
[ ] Overweight.
[ ] Computer engineer / Video Store Clerk / Unemployed.
[ ] Trekkie.
[ ] Comic Nerd.
[ ] Jedi Master. (By this, I mean the Star Wars equivalent of a Trekkie.)
[ ] Epic-Level Anything; i.e. plays pen and paper RPGs whenever given the chance, and is completely familiar with at least all rules relevant to his character(s).
[ ] Never been laid in his life.
[ ] Has a porn collection.
[ ] ...that's particularly good / frighteningly awful.
[ ] Still takes time to enjoy said collection in the middle of the day.
Owns a siginificant collection of one or more of the following, even by "nerd standards":
-[ ] Comic Books; NOT Manga
--[ ] ...and has a significant number of them in proctector sleeves AND has boards in those sleeves.
-[ ] Comic Book Memerobilia; e.g. action figures, posters, apparel, coffee mugs, non-graphic novels with comic book characters.
-[ ] Pen and Paper RPG rulebooks.
-[ ] Star Trek Memerobilia.
-[ ] Star Wars Memerobilia.
-[ ] Esoteric B-movie Sci-fi flicks.
[ ] Bathes on an irregular-at-best basis.
[ ] Is legally blind, but has coke-bottle glasses.
[ ] Has some name like Harold, or Sherman.
[ ] ...but pretends his name is Kirk, Skywalker, Mordenkainen, etc.
[ ] Wears briefs, or memerobilia-related boxers.
[ ] Has had the same hairstyle for more than twenty years, and it's slicked-back/a crew-cut/a mullet.
[ ] Uses sci-fi/fantasy or gaming puns in everyday life, on a regular basis.
[ ] Just KNOWS the aliens are coming, and has taken steps to prepare.
[ ] Can actually perform the Vulcan Nerve Pinch.
[ ] Is working on the whole Force thing.
[ ] Has actually passed on a date, because his favorite sci-fi series was on that night.
[ ] Is enough of a regular at the nearest Phoenix & Dragon, Gamestop, EB, Galactic Quest, or Games Workshop (or similar comic/gaming shop) that the proprieters know him by a name-like description, if not actually his name. E.g. "the X-men guy," "that munchkin who knocked off the dragon," "our best customer."
[ ] Has applied for more than half of these items.
[ ] ..And still thinks he's the coolest thing in the world.
I'll fill it out once I get some replies...

Phew...I only had seven checkmarks. Won't say which ones though...

You know, really- "Computer engineer / Video Store Clerk / Unemployed" has kind of a dramatic step down, you know? Like saying "If You're an Architect/ Sell Houses Out of Cards and Dominoes/ Are a Vegetable."
:P

Balding is beyond normal control....
Should be "Stupid enough to pay a mint for Rogaine related nonsense"
Do NOT diss the solar powered!

The, are you Eight-Bit test?
- Are you exactly 20 years old?
- Do you believe you have a sense of wit, but are really just so ridiculous that they're not really laughting with you?
- Do you have the inability to remain interested in playing a male character, so you go out in desperation to prove to yourself you're perfectly straight by finding the most psychotic woman possible, ruin your life for untold months, then drive yourself deeper into debt?
- Do you work an impossibly stupid third shift job where the only true phrase ever uttered, other than of course a line of explicit language is "Wanna go break pallets on the dock?"
- Have you taken atleast three five month breaks in the past three and a half years from Layonara?
- Have you been on the GM team atleast 2 times, and had to leave because of said break, only to realise that you're a total idiot and shouldn't have left in the first place?
- Do you hate it when there's a Cleric or Bard around who keeps buffing your character, just because you know they'll never be this powerful on their own?
- Can you divide the total amount of your combined character's Constitution scores by the total number of characters, and still get ten?
- Can you understand the above statement?
- Did you just give up on quitting smoking because you found an ancient pack of cigarettes crammed between your bed and the wall of your room while searching despertly for the remote because you refuse to use the buttons on the TV out of spite, because the remote is a device that is to make life easier, before giving up, sparking a smoke, and just enduring the TV guide channel because you were too lazy and stupid to turn your head and look at the alarm clock, the clock on your desktop, your cellphone, the watch on your desk, or the clock on your cordless phone?
- Did you accidently leave your window fan on the heater because the New England weather can't decide between comfortable and bitterly cold, only to have half of it melt off and fill your room with a acrid stench that can only be described as charred GI-Joes?
- Do you have a terrible diet yet never seem to gain any weight, and on a daily basis claim that you're going to improve it after this 2 liter bottle of coke and this last box of hot pockets?
- Are you depressing yourself by making the dumbest possible survey/quiz/am I 8bit dealie ever and decided that you're going to bed so you can wake up in 7 hours to go back to work?
Man I'm glad my self-esteem and ego are so inflated they pose the danger of falling over and pinning me to the floor. Mm hmm.
And now for the real-fake test thing..

Okatu Ka? means, more or less, Are you a fanatic? in japanese.
Loosely translated, it means "Are you an anime fan?"

Loosely translated, it means "Are you an anime fan?"
Hell no! I swear to western Europe style!

I have to correct Stephen's Japanese a bit. Otaku ka? ??????? Does not mean "are you a fan?".....It means are you a "nerd"? It doesn't mean manga specific. There are many types of Otaku in Japan. I won't get into the descriptions but it gets down right hilarious.
I lived there (Japan) until quite recently for more than a few years. My wife calls people who like NWN "Pasokon Otaku" or computer nerds.
-
To my understanding, the literal translation of "otaku" was "fanatic." A more accurate translation, aye, would be nerd, but the actual word... Well, we all know how jargon translates (or doesn't).
Here in the states, an Otaku is specifically an anime nerd.
-
And in Shadowrun, the otaku are people who hack into the matrix using techno-magic instead of cyberware... which was rare in 3rd edition, but now has been replaced with Technomancy Resonance in version 4.
