Wel, thats my question. What is the purpose of sonic blast?
I've used it and it knocks the enemies to the floor then they get back up again. Is it to disrupt all the enemies current attacks? also is says it does damage...yet mine does not..or is that because they made a sucessful reflex save?

That is one of those "don't take this spell" spells... like the cleric's summons... it's a test the DM's are working on...

I was actually on the recieveing end of a sonic blast cast by Storm who wanted to stop the entire group and reprimand us. The spell was useful in that instance because it stunned us all and got our attention. Otherwise I can t think of it as being useful for characters :)

mighty good thing its only a lvl 3 spell, if i was a higher lvl spell it could have been costly for me to get spells that i needed..although it still will. Although i have found it funny how when i cast it it appears to knock not only others, but also myself to the ground. hehe

Yeah, well...as has been said, this is not a spell that should have been available for you to take but part of another project. I think this and the others will be removed from PC availability shortly, so don't get too used to it.

Yes, do not take this spell when you level up as a sorcerer or wizard. It is a bug that it is appearing on the list of choosable spells. Additionally, they don't quite work properly yet as far as I know and some of them can cause semi-serious annoying problems that require DM attention to fix.
Consider it an accidental preview of things to come though heh.
