A few weeks ago I was out with a group of people who seemed to be able to run around and type incredibly fast. As if they had some sort of microphone on that let them talk the words for the PC instead of type. The conversations flowed well together without jumping all over the place so to speak. On my screen it seemed that as soon as someone said one thing another answered within a second or two and made sense. Seemed no way they could have read what the person said and typed a response in the time space.
I was wondering if there is anyway to set up my NWN game so that the curser always returns to the typing space on screen instead of me having to click in there. Also is there some secret to fast coherent dialogue in the game? Yes I have a cable modem, though I am in Alaska. Mabey Im more lagged then I think but it does not seem that way.
Thanks

You were beaten up by English majors....probably said persons are required to do alot of clear typing at thier jobs. There is no shame to ask for others to slow down a bit, I've done it.
Otherwise the only thing I had to learn was to hit that *Enter* key whenever I wanted to type, otherwise all kinds of bad things occur. never clicked the dialogue line directly before, i can see where that can be awkward.

Not sure if this is what was happening, but while traveling if you hit the shift key and left click on a far destination this frees your hands up for typing. Also, rather than clicking to type if you hit your enter key it will go to the typing area directly. so you would type xxxx hit enter, then hit enter again and you can type again.
Hope this made sense, and I hope it helps.

Hit the enter key, then you can start typing, no need to move the mouse to click there.

AHHA! I feel I was blind and now can see. Thanks to all. Now I can yap away at a rapid rate!
Seriously though thanks for the help. This will aid me greatly as I kept hitting wrong keys all the time or answering people when they had moved to the next area.

yeah, as hunt-and-peck typer myself, I've found that it is imperative that I get my character moving ahead somewhere and type while he runs, or else I never get anywhere for me typing all the time.
