Do Epic Spells work normally on Layo? I didn't see anything about them in the handbook, but I was just skimming through.
-
The Epic spells have not been altered, and the Spell: TimeStop has been removed from the normal 9th list and added to them, available only to Arcane casters.
-
Looking at the handbook more closely I found this, under the spell component table:
Layo Handbook 2nd Ed.
Some epic spells will now feed on the caster's lifeforce as per PnP rules
I'm not very familiar with PnP rules.. what does this mean?

Experience points, if I'm not mistaken.

DINGDINGDINGDINGDING!! You win a prize: A ball of goodieness.
Anyway.
Yeah... XP loss. Like with Wish and Miracle. And Teleport.
And old GM of mine used to run with aging instead of XP loss- gave the chars more reason to NOT do it. Much more fun, too.

Yep, in PnP games that is exactly what I would do.. but online it is a different story.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up. Are the details on how much posted somewhere? Thanks for the help!

Generally if there is an xp loss, the spell description will detail it. So before taking an epic spell, just read the spell description. We try to update all spell descriptions with layo specific information.
