Title: Char Creation Question

The Campaign handbook discusses clans, guilds, etc.  Are these open to join or create a char already beloning to the clan, or guild or is that reserved for IC RP and discovery of said clans, guilds, etc..

The best way to go about it is come up with a history for your character thats plausible, and that you can build a characters personality around. The clans and such in game are joined through roleplay with the members that you might meet along the way.

That's what I was looking for cause I didn't want to say I have lived there, etc and was part of a clan when in fact you cant do that without RP and meeting people..
