20,000 for the longsword
-
//That is what the "lens " says so ..
-
//the sword alone sells for that much
-
// *sighs* Thanks

// I suggest you look at Zero's rough Pricing guide. A 1d8 enchantment runs about 25k, 1d6 enchantment about 20k. A +2 weapon will go for about 15 -20k. So as you can see your prices are extremely low.
-
//you are absolutley right. Thanks ..
But .. I have to say that " I think" there is no market for used enchanted weapons at the same price as a rod and a weapon separte ..
-
Ack...Alright then...If its worth 40k then I'll offer 40k. Guess I better get to gathering those eggs for sale.

I think that the problem with a used, expensive weapon is that there is no way to know its breakage status--how many of the allowed 10 errant hits at ore or trees or whatever have been used.
Is this correct, or have I got it muddled?

Not really that. Its that a sword and a rod sold seperately will be able to bring a better price than a rod already on a sword since there is more demand for the items individually. There may be 50 people who want an adamantium longsword, but maybe only 5 of those want an adamantium longsword with that specific enchantment. Some might want a different element, some might want to put a lower level enchantment on it so they can meet the level req, some might want to put a stronger one on it. in the same way, there may be 50 people who want a cold rod III, but only say.. 2 that are going to put said rod on a longsword. The others all use different weapons. Using this completely hypothetical example, I have a pool of 50 people for each item if I sell them seperately that ALL want the items, driving up the price. However, if they're together, there are only 7 people that want it and that doesnt put pressure on buyers to be willing to offer the full price so someone else doesnt get it. My advice (and what I do myself in this situation) is just wait for the right person for the sword. Its your characters old sword, probably has at least some sentimental value... Talan was never in a hurry to part with his old weapons for this reason, and when he was going to he wanted to make sure they would have a good home. Someone that would value them... at their FULL price. hehe So... in conclusion... I forget why I wrote this, so I hope it answers whatever question I was trying to answer, and stayed on topic. -TV

// Thank you Talan , this is exactly my point considering " that there is no market for enchanted weapons""
and you are right about finding the right purchaser If you dont need the gold at once. ;)
( but this does not give me the right go give itemms away, I know)
About the sentimental value for Deiwos - none, he never even used it. .
