Title: Question about creating a character.
Post by: Kirk Sparks on January 08, 2006, 08:30:00 PM
Im a bit confused.  I see some Character submissions showing higher levels then level 1.  Is that how they plan to build there character or the level of the character they are submitting?  If its a build then can I assume you are REQUIRED to stick with that build?
Also..once Im approved where do I create my create my character?

thx

You must outline the levels you intend to take.  All characters start at level 1.

If you submit as, say, a fighter, you may multiclass later by posting a (short) addition to your bio showing why your character is moving into a different class, and have that approved.

Some class combinations are restricted, see the info on druids/paladins/monks and multiclassing.

PrCs are a different issue alltogether and are not approved at creation.  If you wish to take levels in a PrC you must post an addition to your bio for approval close to the time you are ready to take the PrC showing how your character is leading into the PrC.  Some PrC's require a CDQ (character development quest) run by a DM that you can request, that you must succeed to begin taking levels in the PrC.  See info on PrCs and CDQs.

In the future, if you have further questions about characters, submissions, etc. please post them in the General Discussion forum.  This forum (character submissions) is only for the posting of character submissions.

Edit: you will create your character in NWN as you log into the server the same way you would when starting a single player game.
