This update will be some time soon so start downloading.
The Latest Files section of the web site is updated, you can download them from there or you can start downloading the new files directly from this post:
These two go in your haks folder after you extract:
layov2_2da_v21.rar (http://nwn.layonara.com/downloads/files/layov2_2da_v21.rar) New 2da Hak 263.98 KBytes, 2006-03-05 16:47:06
layov2_extra_v1.rar (http://nwn.layonara.com/downloads/files/layov2_extra_v1.rar) New Extra Hak 45.59 MBytes, 2006-03-05 16:47:06
This one goes into your tlk folder after you extract:
layonara_v13.rar (http://nwn.layonara.com/downloads/files/layonara_v13.rar) New TLK file 198.09 KBytes, 2006-03-05 16:47:06
And yes you can download them now and place them into the appropriate directories and it will not affect your game play before the update.

This should be stickied on the front page now before you get to near the update cause I know alot of people don't read the forums or scroll this far down.
Just a suggestion.

But people should be reading this far down. This is how the team communicates with the player base. If they fail to update they won't be able to join, then they will be forced to read the forums instead of rushing the server.

Nothing says novice like struggles to get files to download and extract. I can't get the talk file to extract. Any idea what i may be doing wrong? Redhawk

Did you try right-clicking on the link and choosing 'Save As'? It might work.

Whatever you guys do to keep these servers in such great shape, you got to keep it up! I just downloaded the Layov2_Extra hak at 775k/s. :)

Yeah! The speed is amazing..but then I also know what their pipe is too..it lovely!

The layonara_v12.tlk file appears to be missing from the downloads of files page...I need to download this before the v13 dont I?

No.
You must have had the 12 to be playing since the last update. but it doesn't matter at all if you have the old ones, you can delete them if you like.

The update will be happening some time today. It would have been last night, but I ran out of steam and didn't want to do anything stupid. So make sure you've got your downloads.
The Changelog for this update is not done, but can be viewed at [lore=Version 2.96]
