Title: Shield of the Peacemaker
Post by: Aryn Ravenlocke on March 13, 2006, 03:05:22 PM: I tried using the Shield of the Peacemaker's summoning ability on Harlas' 'Cure" quest today. I get the message in the server message window 'summoned a creature' and I get the effect. But no really cool axe materializes.

Post by: Dorganath on March 13, 2006, 04:03:31 PM: I just tested this on 3 servers and it works fine. But, the shield was updated in the last big update, so have a GM swap out your shield for a new one and that should fix you right up.
Reference this post when you request GM assistance.

I just get the server message 'summoned a creature'. But there is no axe or anything out there. As to damage, the shield works as a +3 tower shield. But no, I take no damage for trying to use the shield since it was 'gifted' and I meett he requisites to use it.

Post by: Aryn Ravenlocke on March 17, 2006, 06:53:10 AM: No biggie. I tryto use it in emergencies only anyway. I like the touch about needing to be a follower of Vorax. Very nice added bit of flavor. At this point I am mostly just anxious to see what this amended summons does in comparrison to the old one.

And, the summon wasn't so much "amended" as it was "balanced"...sorry :)

Post by: Dorganath on March 18, 2006, 02:13:03 PM: I took a peek at the code. I think I see a potential reason why this may not be working for you. I still need to test it out, but what I think is happening is that the summon duration is getting set to 0.
A fix should be in place soon. Thanks for your patience.

*shrugs* We need to keep things balanced. You are the first to have it and thusly you are testing it, thusly we make changes when we feel it necisarry. Sorry to read that you are not happy with any changes.
