Title: Weird Spell Issue

According to the Spell Description, having True Seeing on will render the target immune to the spell.

But after having it cast at me several times as a test while under the effects of True Seeing(along with Mind Blank and Shadow Shield for good measure), I still took 3d6 per spell when I should be taking none.

 You're made immune to the death effects, but the damage happens even if you made the save and were immune.
