All I can say is... YAY!
And I'll repeat what was said in the first comment on the vault: We can finally use green! (and not look like Link from The Legend of Zelda.)
-
They really look great. Yeah, indeed, this new darker green looks better than the current.
But well Talan, we could use green even before :P
Err ... at least I did.
-
Ummm, hasn't anyone heard of that color palette override? That has decent greens
-
Dear god, why does the dwarf have to have the ugliest armor. That's bad reputation, they always care the most about their armor :p
-
The question is, why in the world is the dwarf green?

yes, but if you read a bit about this feature you'll see why it is significant.
The key word in color palette override (and key reason why its not very useful) is override.

Great but will the turquoise be even more turquoiser? :)
-
I think that your all overlooking the the real question here!
When have it been wrong to look like Link EVER?

I would suggest bad jerky, but that seems to cause a different problem. (http://www.layonaraonline.com/forums/photos/show-album.asp?albumid=363&photoid=6311)
I've wanted a darker green for a long time. Jennara's olive dress might get a little dye.

*grins* I have a home-made Link costume that I wore to a couple haloween parties about 4 years back. Shield, tunic, pointed ears, and everything.... even the white tights.... 0.0.... my friend who helped me make the costume dressed as a Gerudo thief. (kudos to the person that can tell me what a Gerudo thief is and which Zelda game they come from). I'll see if I can dig up the pic sometime.
But returning to topic, will there be a more "Crimson" red? right now the reds are either too bright, too purple-ish, or .... pink....
-
Heh, this will demonstrate how old I am. When you referred to "Link", I thought you meant the dude from 'The Mod Squad'.

Gerudo are the all-female thieving race/guild that spawned one male every century or so, the most recent in relevant history being Ganondorf, better known to most as "the idiot we have to kill at the end of every proper Zelda game", and they come from the Ocarina of Time.
Fear my linking skillz.
-
@milty - Pssht, Gerudo theif? that might be obscure, but its not that old. I harken back to the days when link fought those stupid jumping blue and orange crabs.... stupid crabs... those theives did look kinda cool though ;)
@jjkolb - does it demonstrate my age if I don't get it?
Edit: wait... if they spawn 1 male every century or so... who do they *coughs* spawn it with? And besides, it doesn't count if you goggle it *shakes fist*
-
*snickers* I dig the mod squad, and yeah, kudos, Ray.

And Talan's typo inspires a new Layonara item: Goggles of Google. When worn, grant an additional +25 to any Gather Information check.
