Being a Wemic I noticed I have the bonus feat "Scent". The description is vague and It's not in any of the radial menus in game. How does this feat work if it does? And how do I use it? Or automatic? Would appreciate a GM to explain. Thanks in advance.
-
Anybody know out there :'(
-
I think this can be found on the radial menu under spells much like the shifters dragon breath and the druids elemental bonus'
-
Nope.. not there either :(
-
Look radial menu, straight left, then down to the left. it'll either be there, or in another submenu there.
Thats where all active class feats that don't fit into any category go, as well as other racial feat thinggies like drow darkness and faerie fire.
-
Yep looked there.. not there. Maybe it's automatic? Like I said feat is vague. I'm thinking its a bonus to search or spot or something? I'll wait for a coder to give me the definate answer I guess. Thanks for the help.
-
It's not automatic, I know because I know a certain Bear Warrior who smells giants a mile away ;). Look again through the radials, slow and calm.
-
and make sure your skin has been applied. try resting.
I myself have been seeking more info on the feat Scent, at least, mechanically. As far as I can tell, it is entirely an RP feat. I know of no mechanical benefits. I would be very happy if someone would correct me on this.
-
well, I have it as a bear warrior and it is a feat that you have to activate, and when you do you get a complete list of all creatures in the area (title and everything e.g. shaman brute) including party members and other PC's. So this is a VERY usefull feat you will always know beforehand what types of foes you will face. Unless it is a spawn that hasn't been activated yet...
The bear warrior finds it by right clicking and choose the submenu at 9 o'clock and choosing the bear warriors feats there. But I have never been a wemic so I don't know how it works for them...
-
ooo... so it does have a mechanical effect. Niiice. Harloff, if you would be so kind as to PM me the specs on that feat, and I'll get LORE updated with a more detailed description of "Scent."
-
i cannot find the activate feat button either
-
Well.. I looked in that area.. its nowhere on the radial menu :( Feat sounds great though! Glad it works for the Bear Warrior ;) Anyway I could get a Coder or GM to look at this problem and possibly fix it when the time is found to do so?
-
Sorry everybody that last post above was me as a guest. Forgot to log in I'm at work ;P
-
Moved to bug reports as it sounds like a bug in this case.
-
Hmm, the tlk says this:
ability.Scent
Type of Feat: Class or Rave
Prerequisite: Bear Warrior 3 or Wemic
Specifics: This allows you to sniff out all creatures nearby, you have learned to indentify certain creatures by scent alone, and have honed your skill to be fairly accurate.
note that under type of feat it says "class or rave" rather than "race"
Perhaps this typo is in the 2da as well?
-
I have seen this feat used some time ago...
though in my recent return I've heard of this as being just a bonous to spot and listen
-
I have no bonus to either so that would be false as well :( And a current bear warrior stated he uses the feat scent in game. And it provides a list of PC and spawns in the area. Maybe the rave thing is the key? Who knows. It's in my feat list unter character tabs in game. Just the ability is no where to be found... and no pluses are located anywhere.

Fixed in next update.
-
good cause i was looking for it too and hadnt found it yet
-
@falonthas...
this has already been fixed. My wemic character now has the feat. In radial menu 9 oclock then 6. Is it not there for you?
-
no it wasnt there and i checked all my radials
unless i got it as a feat option at 6th by mistake it fit my char so i took it,if it is a mistake i would like to change it to something usable
