First, Leanthar, no problem on the time it took to approve my character...with as much as you guys are doing for us, I'm sure the wait will be worth it.
Well, tonight was my first time 'online' after 22 years of playing RPGs...I'd like to say I dove in like a pro, but...well...let's just say that after running over four or five people, hitting the wrong buttons frequently just trying to say hello, and getting my head handed to me by a GOBLIN of all things about 10 minutes in....well, what can I say?
It was GREAT! I can't wait until tomorrow!
Thanks to everyone who is making this possible :)

Welcome to Layonara! You'll get the hang of it in no time, and with your experience as a Role-Player I'm sure you will fit right in.

Welcome.. look forward to the RP online ;P

Most certainly, you came to the right place. Glad you're here and looking forward to meeting you in-game. :)

*chuckles* I'm sure I committed just about every RP faux pas when I first got here.
Including:
- Accidentally spamming the shout channel with "Greetings" "Greetings" "Hello" "*nods*" before realizing you had to type "/tk" in front of it (for those of you that remember back before the shout channel was disable for players)
- Using Party chat as OOC (still makes me laugh but the server I played on before coming to layo, this was the convention. sadly.)
ugh I can't think of the rest but I know there are more.
Speaking of faux pas' (can that be plural?) An unrelated, but none the less humorous one:
I was checking out a server with a historical (somewhat) european middle ages setting. The conversation went something like this:
Other Player: Hail! What brings you out in this weather?
Me: *nods* Greetings, its good to see another soul on the road. *looks up to the rain* and no sign of letting up any time soon.. Oh, buisiness... yes, buisiness.
Other Player: I travel for buisiness as well... my work in the service of our lord is never complete.
Me: Ah, you are a priest?
Other Player: *nods*
Me: Of whom?
Other Player: *gives him a strange look* of God my son.
Me: //DOH!
Other Player: //ROFL
