Title: Shadow Magic - Illusion School
Post by: Polak76 on April 26, 2006, 03:50:41 PM
Greetings all.

I'm curious whether the shadow version of spells such as fireball, cone fo cold, stoneskin effectively need ingredients as their normal version.

ie: Stoneskin uses topaz dust.  Does that mean the shadow version (Shades 6th) also requires the use of topaz to cast it?  I assume it wouldn't as shadow spells require no ingredients.
Unfortunately I have never taken the time to test this theory.

Some feedback would be great.

Cheers,

They do not.  I recall very cheerfully using shadow conjuration to cast invisibility without drawing from my supply of gum arabic when I still played Ars Lifbahn.

Thanks for the feedback.  I hoped that was so.
