This update will be some time soon so start downloading.
This will be an update to Bioware NWN 1.67, you will need to update your client when we change over.
The Latest Files section of the web site is updated, you can download them from there or you can start downloading the new files directly from this post:
This one goes into your haks folder after you extract:
layov2_2da_v22.rar (http://nwn.layonara.com/downloads/files/layov2_2da_v22.rar)
This one goes into your tlk folder after you extract:
layonara_v14.rar (http://nwn.layonara.com/downloads/files/layonara_v14.rar)

Can we install these files in the hak and tlk directories now or do we need to wait until the new update takes effect?

You can put them there now.
