When the moon turns black
What light does then shine?
For surly our lives were never meant to entwine
When the moon fades black
How then am I to live?
For surly I would never then lay next to you
When the moon shadows black
Will I ever see your eyes?
For surly with but darkness, I will have nothing to despise
When the moon glooms black
Who then shall hide their calling?
For surly you and I, will be but a voice
When the moon is painted black
Why would I ever love you?
For it is you, standing alone atop my canvas of sky, that is my moon my light.
