Hi
This has probably been answered somewhere, but I couldnt find it.
If a minor Elemental enchantment is placed on a bow or cross-bow, does that mean that everytime you make a hit with the bow and arrow, the target receives the +2 elemental damage. Or does the arrows need the enchantment placed on them?
If the latter is correct, is this culmative with Special arrows eg. Copper Falcon arrows +1 piercing?
Im just checking, as the thought led to what could be a most powerful bow.
Thanks

You can't put the enchantment on the bow. You can put it on a stack of arrows of bolts.

And the elemental damage is not cumulative with the regular arrow damage. So if you add 1d4 cold damage to an arrow that already does 2 piercing damage, then only the elemental damage will remain. The same thing happens to bronze weapons as well.

Talan sells bow parts that let you add the mighty property to your bow (lets you add your str modifier to damage up to the amount of the mighty property.)
But yeah, any bow that gives elemental damage to its arrows is an epic item on layo.
Adding enchantment rods to arrows really really expensive unless you're making your own rods. As stated they won't stack, so its best to just put them on plain jane arrows from the merchants.
