Title: Prolly seen this if you've been over on NWN Vault today

Post by: Filatus on May 04, 2006, 07:10:40 AM: These emitterbased shield appeared in a Bioware article a month or more ago. I think it was discussed here on the forum as well.

The conclusion was that the shields aren't suited for Layonara. Only certain creatures might use them, but to add all the shield to the server for a few creatures isn't reasonable.

At least, I believe that was about it.

Post by: lonnarin on May 05, 2006, 11:08:58 PM: It would make an interesting spellsword ability, what with the whole magic fizzling and needing to wear all forms of armor. Shields weigh a lot when you're mining. It would be pretty cool to spark up an ability that whips out a weightless, non-spell failured piece of generic equipment. At the lowest levels it could start off as a buckler, then a large shield and finally a tower. Might also make a nice divine spell too. ;)

Conjuration or abjuration... *mumbles and wanders the corridors juggling game stats in his head*
