It needs to state that its going to take your money or somehow describe the slot you need to put it in.
Currently it says something like "This is an automated room renter whirly-gig. Would you like to rent a room?"
If you respond "Yes, please" the transaction is immediate without anywhere telling you how much money you're giving out, or any choice whether to give it to the machine or not.

Ahh so you are the one who bought something from us. :)
Its not alot of gold to be taken. I would understand if it was more then 50 gold but I think its only around 18 gold. I say leave it alone not going to kill people to learn something the hard way :)

If the price was left off, that's an oversight that I can correct easily enough. I think it's 6gp though, like the rest of the inn keys.

@ Dorg - it is 10
@ Tobias - Explain to me how you can pay 10 gp and receive a room key without knowing it IC.
Edit: Its about immersion. You don't respond "yes please" to a mechanical device. It also doesn't explain what it does by speaking. If that text is on a sign above the device the dialogue should read:
A sign tacked up above the device reads, "This is a automatic room key thing blah blah..." The device has a small slot labeled "10 GP" directly above a larger slot that empties into a circular basin about the diameter of a simple key.
