Well, I've been weaning myself off of Layo for the last two weeks in the hopes of graduating college. I guess it worked, as I have a drunken haze of a memory pertaining to some sort of commencement ceremony . . . and lots of cheese.
Last friday I completed my second college degree, in Animation: Traditional and Digital! (woo double hoo!). I'm certainly excited; especially, since I now have two months of undeterred time to finish my DIY projector, play layo, and put some time back into the rocks and trails. The old boyscout in me misses his weekened excursions up in yosemite cliff faces and devils backbone while doing geocaching now and again! :)
Now to finish up my masters/doctorate program so that I can reach my ultimate goal: to be called "Dr. Jones" (as in: no time for love doctor jones!).
Ahh, the beauty of dreams, and the frightening reality of how much they cost!
So to everyone out there still struggling through your college programs just remember these words: ummmmm sprinklessss . . . glarrrraaaaggghhh (Homer Simpson)
There is certainly a lot of hard, almost insurmountable, work to be done. But it pays off in the end!

Congrats. Fun degree.
You know Leanther... all that time I was in the bay area it simply blew over my head that you were in Oakhurst. For some reason I had it in my brain that you were in the bay area since you had a tech background.
My wife and I were in Yosemite climbing about every every other weekend when we lived out there. And to think... you could have been hanging out with idiotnoob all that time. :o

Excellent work. As a last semesterer right now, I'm hardly online a fourth of the amount of time that I used to be. I'm not taking any difficult classes right now, just the prerequisites for required ones I've already aced that they claim are required in and of themselves. Already took advanced Research methods 1 & 2 with a A- average between the two, but they wont let me graduate until I complete REGULAR research methods, and statistics, which is a pre-req for that. I can't wait to graduate so that I can waste my time making beer money instead of being acadamia's dancing monkey.
On the plus side, it is 20X easier to get a hackysack circle going in college as it is in real life. You start juggling to yourself on campus, and you'll have at least 5 people within half an hour. Out there in real life, people shoot you.

*kicks the hacky sack to Ionnarin* Hey, didn't know you played too!

Well done!
Heh, I'm currently on study leave, where you get to stay off sixth form, stay at home and revise/study. I've had a maths exam so far, I got another tomorrow and Psychology the next day. Then a week off and I got a 3 hour philosophy exam and a 2/3 hour ICT exam. What fun...

well done! :)
