My character Ryuurik, Cleric of Vorax recently turned level 9, and he now has his spell circle 5 summon, which is a 'Dwarven Defender'.
The problem is, I know the summon has the defensive stance, as its in his feats list, its just as of yet i've never seen him use it, and I was wondering if there was something one had to be able to make the summon take a defensive stance in combat.
Do I have to command him to use it somehow? Or will he use just use it when he decides the situation is right for it to be used?
Thanks in advance,
(Defensive Stance refers to the feat Dwarven defenders recieve which, when used gives the user/summon +2 Strength, +4 Constitution, +2 resistance bonus on all saves and a +4 dodge bonus to AC)

I mean the only thing i can think of is that the dwarfs AI hasn't been set to use the skill at any point.
Anyone got any idea's at all?

I'm pretty sure this is just one of those erratic feat/spell "things" that goes with summoning. Ie: Some times summons ONLY use their spells when you actually want or need them to fight melee, and some times they do the opposite, becoming a kamakazi when you'd rather they blast the buggers. Pretty sure it's similar for feats, as in they only ever use them when they don't need them.

Related to that, do summoned creatures use the improved Henchmen/familiar AI system avialable on the Vault? 1000% improvement over the HoTU system.
