Title: Inventory Adder.
Post by: Philosopher on June 09, 2006, 01:50:29 PM
Well, not the best name in the world but I came up with an idea the other day...Well tonight actually hehe.

I was adding up my Hazelnuts and corn in my inventory and a thought occured to me - What about an object that adds up your corn or hazelnuts for you? I'm sure all you do is that you can "use" the Adder on the corn, then find other corns and add them up - giving the player a number.

Is it worth it?

well, it could be a good idea, what i tend to do for corn, chestnuts, heck most things that are used in one recipe or another i tend to just look for a recipe that uses the object. The recipe card tells you exactly how many you have in your inventory.
But yeah, could be a good idea.

Acctually that would be really easy to code.  The majority of the work involved would be adding it to the mod.

Another way of doing this (not as elegant as a specific tool, but its already IG.)  Is to buy a recipe card.  Use it and navigate to a recipe that uses the item you wish to have counted.  The card dialogue will list how many of each ingredient you have.  Basically its the same as a CNR table, but looks in your inventory rather in the CNR bench's inventory.  Oh and it won't let you craft the item heh.
