I was in Korea in the Army in the early 90's...heh. Gotta go to the 70's to get me to reminisce :)
Still does remind me of some of the catching up I had when I got back to the states.
-
Ah, good times, things out of them that I actually remember: (stupid memory doesn't work properly *smacks forehead*)
Crystal Pepsi (Up until a few years ago you could still buy it off eBay, people'd buy it by the crate from pepsi and on-sell it)
Dinosaurs (We still got it on TV here until about 6 months ago)
Skifree (Yay! *loves skifree*)
28.8k Modems (Urgh... *shudders*)
Darkwing Duck (That was the awesomestest program ever)
Slip N Slide
Slap Bracelets
Skip-it
Captain Planet! (He's a hero! Gonna take pollution down to zero! (Also the awesomestest program ever))
Garfield and Friends... and lasagne
Power Rangers!
Wolfenstein 3D (I don't think I need to say anything here... other than that)
Reboot! (Also the most awesomestest program ever, I mean, it's reboot... reboot!)
X-Men animated series
King's Quest VI (I still have a copy in my cupboard *points behind himself*)
And there's probably more... but... yeah... awesome!!
-
heh what I remember from the beginning of the 90's? Pretty much being intruduced to life itself. (Im born in 88)
-
Now, I was in high school in the 90's. I have to admit this, I dont remember much. That list has jogged some brain cells lose. Bit and parts are starting to comeback slowly. (I dont know if I want to remember it)
-
King's Quest VI destroyed the whole series for me. It was that point on top of the rollercoaster's hump that went all downhill from there. That's when sierra quit making adventure/puzzle games and started failing at making disney movies. After that they made King Graham into laura Croft, keeled over and died.
-
Sad...I remember all of that and in the early 90s I was like four.
I also remember that Lisa Frank school supply stuff with the pink dolphins and all that ...
-
But King's Quest VI is awesome... *tear*
Speaking of sierra games, anyone else remember Lode Runner?
-
I remember some of it. I was born late 1987 (Early 1990's for me was like K -- fourth grade...) Weren't there like thirty episodes of Reboot in all?
-
I was born in '89, but I LIVED the early 90's. So, naturally, all of this stuff was my bread-and-butter. *He grins.* Reboot was totally the greatest fully-CG show ever.
-
Not to mention Canadian.
-
*sniffs* Memories.
-
Schmack - 6/10/2006 9:02 PM But King's Quest VI is awesome... *tear* Speaking of sierra games, anyone else remember Lode Runner?
hehehe - yeah, I used to play Lode runner when I was a kid
-
Season 4 of Reboot was particularly good, I felt. Though best episode ever still has to go to "Firewall". "This is Hugh Branch. He's in charge of our R&D department." ROTFL!
And as for KQ VI - anyone remember where this riddle came from, and how you were supposed to answer it? "Four men standing in a row. Third from the left and down you go. The next, in order, move you on - the youngest, the oldest, and the second son."
-
You're forgetting Vanilla Ice or did I miss that.
Ice Ice baby..*hums song* Slice like a ninja cut like a razor blade..ice ice bady..yeah or something like that. Ugh, think I had that whole song memorized *shivers* Stop, collaborate and listen, Ice is back with a brand new invention, something, grabs a hold of me tightly..something something daily and nightly..gah! Curse you!
-
Ugh... vanilla ice *shudders*
I still have nightmares about them...
-
Wasn't it the coolest when Vanilla Ice was in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie? It didn't get much better than that for an elementary school me back then.
-
I do remember so many of those things, despite being born in '89. As sad as it is, I know the entire Captain Planet theme song :)
-
Yeah, that was pretty slick. *Wistful*
-
Ahh, Captain Planet. 4 elements, 5 continents (that they were willing to discuss). What to do, what to do? Got it! We'll create some 5th wimpy element! One that does virtually nothing! What will we call it? I know! Heart! :P The South American kid got ripped off.
-
Can't believe they left out Batman the Animated Series and Space: Above and Beyond! :) - but ya - the 90s was my child hood - and I was a ninja turtle fan!
And pirates of Dark Water got high marks in my book too . . .
-
Both awesome. Ninja Turtles all the way!
