I was reading through the "Poison- It's an Edge" Thread, and read about people building up an immunity to poisons.
Instead of building an immunity to poisons, could you make potions from the poisons that give you an temporary resistance to poison (like a +2 save vs. poison)? You would probably have to extract the poisons at the poison table, then change it into an Anti Poison at the alchemy table.

I think irongut potions give +4 to poison saves.
-
That is an interesting idea though. There are different types of poisons, some harder to find and use than others. Perhaps the harder the poison the higher the save it would give. Might not seem like much, but going up against something with poison that has a DC of 30+ it could really be useful. (Hate Irongut though... don't know why.)
-
Ironguts is exactly what you're talking about.
+4 saves vs poison.
Making potions of ironguts is alchemy, though they take a whole spawn of cranberries each.

However, there is something to be said for this - first of all, it would open up an area of crafting to all and sundry, rather than restricting it to one playable alignment or one class - and second, anti-venoms are usually extracted from the same creature whose toxin is being nullified. So being able to create something like a Potion of Ironguts (perhaps not as effective) at the poisons table could make sense.

True, but to implement this an entire new range of item props would need to be created or have them all be "unique power" since there are no predefined spells or uses that would give the desired benefits.

While there may be alchemical solutions, anti-toxins in the world today are typically made from the original substance and processed by toxicologists... hence Ironguts and Neutralize poison potions should be equally craftable by both alchemists and toxicologists in the same manner that both alchemists and divine enchanters can make curative potions. I suggest also making the diluted poison spell component craftable via the poison bench, and making said item intregal to anti-toxin creation.
Since poisoncraft is alignment restricted and focused entirely on toxicology, the CNR recipe for poisoncraft anti-venoms should be set easier to create than their weave-bending alchemical variants.
Considering Farros can't even make dire spider venoms yet which litter the world and he's currently still on the top 15 charts at lvl 2, it's sad to see this craft so unused. Things like anti-venoms would be a great recipe to stir interest in the craft.
