To all those that Emerald ran around with. Thankyou!!!! It was so awesome. You guys were great, brave, generous and alot more. It was an honor. What a great team and everyone truly worked together. I hope we can do it again sometime.
On a sad note..I am sorry that Addi is no longer with us. She will always be remembered.
I have some goods from the trip..let me know how you want to disperse them.

Actually she is. She has the Soul Mother defense and as such can get to 15 Soul Strands. Though the video (perma death video) did fire it should not have since the soul mother defense would have kicked in.
-
According to the most recent LORE page she is level 18, and therefore cannot have had soul mother defense.
:( She will be missed.

I was under the impression that only level 20+, namely epics could choose that feat, and as such she would have been able to pick it. Have I missed something?

I think she is 20 or 21, right? I do not know off hand as I have not looked in to it as I was not aware this was an issue with the character. But yes, 20+ only is how it should be coded.

I need to know if this character is not level 20 or higher please and if she is not then she should not have the soul mother defense.

I think you have confused two characters, did some talking ingame. Could it possibly be that its Ralinda your talking about, and not Addison? That would make the whole thing seem more believable.
-
Yeah, it is Ralinda Allisan that we are talking about.
-
Then were on the same page * smiles *
Emerald wrote Addi, as in Addison, and she is the person that Permed.
Didnt make sense about the other thing. Just need to have clearance in my mind.

it was a good time though, and we learned a few things, as well as had some good adventure.
-
Yes, it was a good trip and I hope to see one again sometime.
-
Yeah I was talking about Addison. Sorry for the Abbrev.
-
Dont really no what to say , i did enjoy ... shame about the end result

Indeed it was an interesting trip. Muchwas learned, but much was lost as well.
I did not know Addison very well, but she faught bravely in her last moments and that is the memory that I will retain. Aftermany close encounters and a long journey me and Kilkenny was able to make our way to safety with Addison's body. Even though it broke my heart to leave friends behind after they died, it was a better decision to let those still bound by the bindstones make the quick and easy way out.
I have left Addison's body at the temple of Aeridin in Sielwood as I believe she was close to the Lifegiver.
We will return soon and use the knowledge gained to our advantage.

The trip was, indeed, a very enjoyable one, overall. It was certainly marred by the perma death for Addison. After that, though, the group seemed to be doing quite well, until the massacre near the emerald mine (so close!!). Unfortunately, when Xiao fell for the second time in the day, I as a player forgot the specifics of the three death rule.
For all who don't know, you are allowed two deaths in a time period equal to your level times 15 minutes. Since Xiao is 23rd lvl, that equates to 345 minutes, or 5.75 hours. When he fell the second time, I didn't even consider the relevance of his death that had occurred hours before. So, I waited to be raised instead of respawning. The group came and wiped out the enemy in a very heroic fashion, then raised Xiao's body. Unfortunately, the enemy respawned within one minute, and Xiao was caught in a weakened and unprotected state. He was cut down and fell for the third time in under six hours. Before I knew what was happening, Xiao was taken to his bindstone and dinged with a 115k XP penalty. OUCH!
At first I was really upset by this. I felt my whole morning had been wasted, since I was finishingthe daywith less XP than I hadstarted with. Then, after some time away from the computer, and a chance to breathe, I was able to see the bigger picture. Sure, my character didn't gain any XP, but he did gain valuable experience. He (I) had a marvelous time traveling with some old friends, as well as fighting side by side with some new ones. We explored areas that were new to many of us, and got to know a bit about each other along the way. Overall, we worked well as a team, and I look forward to the next trip like this we can take.
Next week is bad for me to try to plan anything, but watch the calendar for the Monday after that. If at all possible, I'll try to get something going. See you all soon!

I am so sorry to see Addison go. She was a great warrior and friend. She always fought bravley and was quick to come to your aid in a fight. As a person she was witty and fun, she will be sorely missed by all.

I will start by saying that i'm sorry to see someone had to die.. (first time i have seen anyone get permed death). And the trip was not one of the succesfull ones.. but as Xiao stated we all learned alot from it.. and above all.. this sort of trips are what we all training for to be able to manage. One can't expect that you will stand and mine emerlads like digging sand on the first attempt. but I'm am certain of that next time it will go better.. maybe we will not make it.. but it will go better. And since i haven't played Kilkenny for a while it was realy fun to take him out for this trip :P As always UD isalot of fun :)
If Kilkenny is going to get permed death i wouldn't wanna it to be in another place then in the UD.. (maybe on some heroic quest would do aswell :P )
Anyway.. looking forward untill next time.

Firstly=It was a good trip for me. Was my first time in the UD and, although a bit confusing in that terrible maze, I gained some good knowledge of the place even after my marked maps got wiped in the crashes. Thanks Xiao for organizing it, and I understand completely your feelings about dying 3 times. Been there-done that, really unlucky, and felt like hanging myself for a while. Sorry Addison got permed, but I'm not sure I would go there with 9 DT's. The battle where she died was screwy anyways. Our first encounter with the mind flayers (if memory serves) and I think we crashed-looked at the cut scene for 5 minutes! By the way-I still have the 15 nuggets of titanium stored away for future review. Heard about how it ended *sigh*.
