Title: Recent Maturity Levels
Post by: orth on August 16, 2006, 10:17:13 AM
I have been hoping this was a phase recently, but it does not seem to be going away so I would like to address this issue.  Throughout the forum, photo albums, IRC and in game I'm noticing the maturity levels dropping drastically.  General comments seem to not be helping so I thought I'd get into some specifics on things to avoid in public discussion.

These are just some that come off the top of my head.  Lets try to keep things a little more clean so everyone feels comfortable in the environment we enjoy gaming.  I am not sure how the inability to do some of the things I find inappropriate can detract from your Layonara experience, so let's all try to remember the vast difference in community members and respect the rules that have helped it grow and stay cohesive.

Totally agree!! This is a family server and we intend to keep it as such. That stuff is not appropriate for this server.

I am glad to see Layo holding the line on this.  My family and I thank you for providing a fun and safe place for us to play.

Very nice. I've been on a few servers where this kind of stuff, can get out of hand. I am very happy to have heard news of Layonara, and become part of the community. This is the first server I've seen to address this issue. Well said!

//~edit~ Fixed a typo. :P

 Welcome to Layonara, bud. I agree with the above, but even if I see it, I kind of just ignore it. It doesn't really bother me too much. Then again it's hard to offend me, so who knows?

ok, none of that should have ever been discussed, an I'm glad that it was brought up... although I am guilty of one  (not the last one)

 It's hard to offend me as well, but I've seen kids on here as young as 9...they don't need to be exposed to this, not by us at least.

ok, it was mentioned that other illegal activities, not just drugs/alcohol are also no-nos, and no, I have no common sense, so I'm posting it here for those of us without it.

that includes illegal internet downloads  ;)

I agree wholeheartedly, this place should be kept safe for the kids to play too, after all, there has to be some places for the youngsters.
  Cleanliness sits next to godliness. :)

Ill say this for layo after playing here for over a year I have only had one player do the above "ingame" with me, and he was angray at a DM for pulling him up on occ stuff.

shows ya what a good family place layo is, that takes good dm team work.

*bows at dm team*
