In the past when you failed making an arrow head a mangled piece of metal was a byproduct. Has this been removed from the game?

I got the mangled metal back and that was a few days ago.maybe it was just a lag spike.

The recipe has not changed. Mangled metal is returned on failure. If you did not experience this, it may have been due to lag.
  For future such reports, taking a screen shot may be helpful in illustrating to us the circumstances and the results.

Please take a screen shot of your combat feeback window the next time you fail on arrowheads and you do not get mangled metal returned.

You only get mangled metal back on metals used in armor or weaponsmithing. You will not get mangled silver back.

Bumping as well.  Is mangled silver intended to be returned on failed arrowhead making?

It should return mangled metal on failure, according to the CNR database.  What I can't tell at the moment is whether or not we actually have mangled silver in the palette or if it has the proper tag/resref if we do.

OK, it seems that silver escaped the list of mangled metals in our palette, so that's why no one was receiving mangled silver when failing arrowheads.

In any case, I've added mangled silver to the next update.
