Title: Is your computer idle for parts of the day? Use that processor time for Climate prediction
Post by: EdTheKet on November 04, 2006, 03:08:16 PM
Got your computer on all day, but aren't always using it, or only using a fraction of its computing powers? Then join this experiment here on
  http://www.climateprediction.net/index.php
which attempts to calculate what will happen with the climate on Earth in the 21st century. That way, your idle computer can make itself useful for everyone. And it's also a screensaver :)

And if you don't care about the climate, choose one of the other initiatives that use idle processor resources.

Wow, thanks cool! Ive known about the climate one since high school as our school did this on the downtime between periods. But there are litterly dozens of different applications for idle PC power!

If my PC can help cure cancer, here goes!
