Title: Grohin Silveraxe
Post by: Black Cat on November 21, 2006, 07:23:42 AM
After the clan went to war against the army invading Dregar and  valiant fought it to the end, I decided to walk away from my home mountains, after making sure the young ones will be safe and taught in the way Vorax.

My path led me out of Dregar, towards Mistone and the temple of Vorax in the Berhagen Mountains. I stayed there for a few days, praying to Vorax and gathering my thoughts.

I know I couldn't have done much at the time to help the clan and if I had been with them, the whole clan would have been destroy. It was a battle, one of the last in the great war against Blood I heard. But it was the first one in the war against the invader of Dregar. But this war will probably not be fought as I used to think war are to be fought. For now, it is at a stillstand. The Invader fortifying his grip on the land, while resistance begins to rally.

But sooner or later, new battles will need to be fought against injustice and evil and I will land my axe to that cause. I'll pray Vorax to give me strength in these.

But for now, I'll need to strengthen my body and mind. I followed a group of adventurer back to a small but bustling town called Hlint. There I helped out a few locals.

I also met another group of adventurers, most of them followers of Toran. Liz and Nicolas, Lif'lo and Gideon. I helped them out and they helped me in return in a few tasks I had to do, then we went on adventuring around Mistone. I think I'll meet them again.

I've been in Hlint and Mistone for some time now. I met a lot of other bearded one and had many an adventure with them. I like to travel in the company of kinsman. I met one particular one, going by the name of Wanark. He is of a Silveraxe clan too, from Ulgrid in the Berhagen. I wonder if he is from a remote branch of my own family and clan. I travelled a lot with him and others. We went back to Ulgrid to pray at the temple and offers donations. We also went deep into Haven's mine and far up into the Grey Peaks.

Vorax faith runs strong in many a dwarf around Hlint, and especially with Wanark. He is an example for us all. I also met true Hero of the dwarven kin, Kobal and Varka.

I'm part of the effort to help Bloody Gate. As I'm not a smith, I help in the gathering of ore rather than in the making of armor. Still, it feels good to be of use to a greater good. I hope our effort will be crowned by success, but the way will be long, hard and probably most dangerous. But now that I'm engaged in it I won't turn back. Vorax will guide us and we will succeed.

I long to return to my home in the mountains, but the time is not yet come.

**letter to Adrax Silveraxe (eldest of the young dwarf left in the care of a clan on dregar**

'annur,

It has been some time since I heard news from you or you from me. I'm well and I hope you are too. I met with a dwarf, a Silveraxe from Ulgrid. We think me might be related in some way but aren't sure yet. If this is the case, I'll come and lead you to Ulgrid. I'm sure you are well taught in the way of Vorax, but I'd still prefer if you were with related kin. When you'll all be strong and wise in the way of Vorax and when I earn to right to lead you, we will return to our home in Storm Horn and we'll be strong again.

Till then, I wish you all well, and I hope I'll be able to visit soon.

Grohin Silveraxe, Battlepriest of Vorax

**end of the letter**

Today I answer the call of General Deepsnur of the 1st division. He appointed Hargranar Craggenhilt as Captain and confirm Berdin in the same position. I was officialy appointed as Battlepriest, under the command of Captain Hargranar. It was a great honor to meet with the General, but he had something important to task us with, so we didn't have the time to celebrate. We went into the deep north, into a witch's lair to retrieve some documents. We fought valiantly through the caves against goblins, kenkus, giants and other creatures and finally retrieved the document.

In Raven's Watch, we met another group (no dwarves though) that was going in the same direction, looking for a lost captain of Raven's Watch and apparently a pair of boots. They helped us in our task so we helped them in their, and after a long and arduous exploration of the caves we eventually stumble upon the captain (who unfortunately was already dead and past our help) and found his boots in a chest. I carried the captain's body back to Raven's Watch and we, dwarves, left the others to their business and went to report to General Deepsnur.

Well, I need to write here of something quite strange that happen to me lately.

I was talking with some people near those benches in Hlint when suddenly it went cold and some of us begans to shivers and looks anxiously around. Then I heard children in my head and so too other people. I thought it was hunger, so I went with Kobal and Varka to the inn to have dinner and a good beer, but others began to investigate. After a good meal and a story by Varka, we went out to see what the others where doing and we found one of them stricken and lying on the ground saying strange things. Well to make things short it seems the tree and benches have been magicked in some way as to be used to spy and attack us. We chased what we thought was a demon around Hlint and to the North as far as the High Forest where we talked with Legodias, druid of the place. Then we continue our chase as some of us 'listen' to the trees or tried to find the source of the magic. We finally discovered that it was somewhere far to the south, near Velensk.

There, Muireann pinpointed the magic to a house. I knocked on the door and I must say that with some shame, I invented a strange story about treasure hunt and such. Well it didn't granted us access to the house, but at least it forced the others to act. Well the house was inhabited by an old lady, a halfling and several children. Well not really childre though. Some of us with the ability to see through illusions saw they were looking like demons.

Some disagreement occurs between us as to what to do with them. I and Lin'da where thinking that we needed to get rid of them or at least know what they were doing there. Others like Elladan and Storold tried to tell us they weren't demon, but good natured Outsiders ( whatever that meant). As a fight broke out between two of us, we were expelled from the house by the guards. Elladan stayed behind and talked to the old lady.

As he went out, he explained to us the so-called demons were good in nature and that only some of them kinda turned bad and did the attack on us. They were held in some kind of pocket plane (whatever that really means) and that a ritual needed to be done to seal the plane.

We went back in and the magicker along with Elladan and Muirean, helped by Tarile (the old lady) and the Halfling begans to do the rituals, two of those things got out but couldn't cross the pentagram on the ground, one was sucked back in and the other begans to die there. As it did so, Tarile failed to continue on the ritual, but the others held fast (though for some, it was only barely) and they finished the rituals and closed the bridge to the plane. Tarile fell to the ground and seemed quite sick, so I took her to her bed, gave her some tea and toast and let her to rest. She was just exhausted.

11 of those outsider still lives with the old lady and her halfling-servant. Storold said he would watch over them all and keep an eye out to prevent further 'turning'. I might as well go back and talk to the lady ... and perhaps have another taste at her beer.

After that, I took the liberty to make me a sandwich in the kitchen and took some beer to drink - Vorax be praised, it was dwarven ale of the best kind. This old lady couldn't have been an evil one, no no no.

Today I went with Wanark and Thrain to Dregar, as we were resting in an Inn, a cat took a liking to Thrain and it follows us into the giant cave where it shows some vicious teeth and claw. Well it wasn't a cat after all, but on of those shape-changing druids, he help us well as he used the bear and other form he could take.

Later we were rejoined by Fenrir and I managed to get some coal and gems to work with.

Later we went through the desert and to someplace called the iron hills where we mined some gold.

I'm getting good at making jewelry and cutting gem. I managed to make some crystal rods too and enchant them. Thus making enhancment for weapon or protective enchantment against cold, fire and lightning.

I now have a project for which I need some stuff I cannot make myself. Fortunately, Tegan an half-elf tailor I met agreed to help me make part of what I need. She made me two suit of platinum reinforced clothing. Now I need some charming essence which Erk said he could make, but I haven't seen him since.I'll also need more experience in enchanting, and I will try to make that thing. I will ask Gilshem to pray Dorand for me.

All done, I have made that Tunic on my second try.

Lot of things happening lately in the dwarven community.... mostly related to Bloody Gate.
I keep learning new things in my crafts and my skill in combat grew everyday through training.

I took part in a most extraordinary travel a few weeks ago... We met a man named Kenson near Saudiria... he sent us to look for Gard the Guard captain in North Fort. He in turn took us into the silver mine near by to test us... after that he asked a few question to each of us and took Gilshem away for a while, when they returned Gil was looking somewhat different.... a few days later we returned to Saudiria and met with Kenson again. He then sent us to look for a lost Giant tribes or something, he said they were really the ancestors of today's giant. On the way, we passed through a desert filled with quicksands and snakes... but we also stumbled on a very interesting thing.... not far from the path, my eyes took the glimpse of metal in the sand... after looking better we noticed it was an' axe of what looked like adamantium. Unable to reach it myself due to the quicksand , though I tried but had to be pulled out from them.... With try to catch it with a lasso but didn't succeeded, finally it is with the help of a cute little faerie that we managed to bring the axe back to the path...
Later on this same trip, we eventually came upon the giants.... Those were real Giants, much higher than the ones you see today around Mistone and Dregar... They challenged us for we had tresspassed on their ground. I step before to answer the challenge and after a time, I walk forward to meet my fate...

Well it didn't went as well as we planned... something happened as I cut the giant chiefs in the ankle (the only part of him I could hit with high jumps and acrobatics)... but I cannot related the rest of the adventure in this journal since I promised Gilshem to never revealed what happened.

I travelled with Tegan and the Loon's brothers lately... they aren't beards but I think I can still call them friend. I trust Tegan to cast a few spell on me for my own protection... all of them I know of myself, but hers are much better. Together we went to the famous mountains of Firesteep to mine adamantium... We even dared to walk into the lair of a dragon... well The Dragon I should say... my friend said his name was Fisterion and I heard he his the son of the god Pyrtechion or at least very close to that.

I wasn't able to see him myself, sadly, but I had a glimpse of his power as a powerful spell exploded not far from me and threw me to the ground, injuring me somewhat... after that, against my better judgement, I must admit I ran.... well... away really but I know when a foe is too powerfull, even for me... *there Grohin burst into a laugh, unable to write for a time*, well it was a grand experience, and I hope I will be able, one day, to challenge that dragon.

We also went into the rift to mine some diamonds... a very profitable trip even if I died there trying to heal Voon, but I received 5 diamonds after the trip.

I travelled to some other places in Dregar and even for a bit through Roldem, from a place called Silden to a city called Rodez. In that place, I met Jennara who told us of the war that took place on those islands and which destroyed most of it. A very sad tale but also full of hope, for if we stay united and work together we ca overthrow even the strongest foe.

Druegars... bloody darkies. They had hijacked several shipment bound for Shoufal and Ulgrid. Beli, me and Kurgin set out to find the source of the attacks. And we stumbled on those darkies. Tough buggers too, we got captured and held prisoner for a time in what looked like a mining operation. Several other miners from Shoufal were held prisoners too.

At first we couldn't break free.. blood lock was made of mithril. But Beli, gathering his strength and will managed to call for the help of Vorax and several heroes came to our help.. breaking the locks and helping us to dispatch the Duergars guards.

Beli is now a full brother of battle and gained much experience from this 'adventure'... so do I.

Bloody Gate... I can finally write about this in this journal... under the guidance of Varka and Kobal we helped in the rebuilding of Bloody Gate and it is now as it once was. The rightfull King again sitting at the head of the table in Bloody Gate's Hall. I'm proud to have been part of this effort and will continue to help Varka and others dwarves as best I can, whenever and whereever they need me.

Though I still think about my own halls in The Mountains of Storms. They too will need some work though they weren't destroyed... but all theses years without care must not have help my halls.
Title: Varka's gift - Bloody Gate
Post by: Black Cat on March 14, 2007, 03:21:58 PM
*writings is a little shaky*

Varka, Warlord of the united Clans asked us to gather once more in the Wild Surge in Hlint. What we thought to be another dwarven party turned out to be something else....

Some time ago we helped him rebuild Bloody Gate, for which King Rory thanked us... then a few weeks ago I helped Gilshem and Durgen, along with Varka, to reach the citadel of Dorand in Lyn. There Varka told us of the battle that He, the High Hammer of Dorand, Hargranar and others fought there against a horde of Orcs, lead by a powerful one, thought to be the Orc's god avatar.... Varka told us of the weapon that was forged to kill the avatar, though it was not needed in the end... Blacklung, the Baron of Lyn thanked Varka and gave him a pick, one of Dorand's.

Today, as we gathered in the Surge, holding mugs of ale, Varka turned suddenly serious and holds out several items... one of them, Dorand's pick, he gave to Gilshem, another one, a powerful Halberd that was used against elementals in a war long ago, he gave to Kurgaz. A club, I saw him use once, to bash giants he gave to Fenrir.

To me he gave the spear that was forged by Hargranar. A powerful weapon whose sole purpose is to destroy Orc's blood. I was quite honored of this gift, I hope I'll be up to this honor.

Praised be Vorax, might I show his strength in battle.

A few days ago, I heard about some trouble in my home mountains. I couldn't stand idle while maybe some of my kin were in trouble. So I set up for Highpass to learn what was going on... Well it wasn't my kin really but two lads from the fort went missing. The captain of the guards (a good sturdy dwarf) told us about this and about the strange noises the people hear at night for several weeks now. We investigated a bit about the lads and then set out to ask the Stonesmashers. It has been a long time since I set foot in their stronghold and I don't think they remember me (anyway I was but a lad last time, and it was me father who did the talking). I had to vouch for my companions as I was the only dwarf in the party. Luckly some of them stayed back at the fort to recover from a nasty magic stuff they did (alright not nasty, but magic anyway).
The elder told us about an attack that happened just the night before, a big wolf leapt over the walls and killed four beards before they managed to kill it... according to Jac, this was no normal thing for a wolf to do, but as we examined the bones (the dwarves burnt the wolf) it appears it was just that... a very big wolf.

So we got back to the Fort... The tree hugger in the party decided to go fly over the country to try and spot the kids but he met some giant hand *chuckles*. Strange things happen then as he was brought back to us in a very badly shape... though his wounds have been tended to... he told us of a white panther that wasn't one, but a shifter.

We went to the mountains and were met by this shifter who told us a bit about what was happening... apparently a powerful shifter of some sort is around due to some sort of calling and many other nature-folks (druid and shifter) are drawn to this place too and some fighting results from all that... one of the kids is one of those shifter and that's why he went out into the mountains... his brother (only in name, not blood) followed him. But they got attacked. Some in the party decided to go save them but only managed to rescue the other kid... the shifter-kid stayed back and fought with the 'Boss'... I couldn't say the kid was too happy at being saved and not his brother. I hope it will turn out well and no other trouble will come of it.

Story time in Mariner's hold?
Yes, well the story wasn't the best I heard... some honorful lad got into trouble and had to fight against cheaters who killed him... not much could be learnt from the bard... though another lad came and began teasing us with the promise of another, better story.

He brought us to a broken statue and began asking question about honor, slave and master and things like that and then invited us into his house to tell us his story.... well he does have a strange way to tell story really. More like dreaming it than telling it... we actually were in some sort of dream-like place... though it looks more like a nightmare than a dream... people and others things lay dead... burning some. Then the guy asked us questions about what is honor, if one who lost his honor could regain it and so on... hard questions to answer as Honor is very difficult to define precisely, it's something very personal and not alike from one to another. I don't know if lost honor can be regain or not, but it seem that guy wants to regain his somehow... and we will apparently help him.

I haven't heard about Berdin or Hargranar for a while. I wonder what the Captains are becoming. Perhaps it is time for me to step forward...

I wonder how's Grena faring... I haven't seen her much lately. She be a strange one... something... I don't seem to understand her too well. There is something in her that sometimes makes me shivers... I don't know. And it's not really the way she hacks at giants

My little party at the hostel went rather well... quite a few showed up, including Warlord Varka. And we had a bit of fun with the giants afterwards... though I really need to talk to Grena. Varka asked me to do it too. I must tell her about the laws of the land. Varka told us she almost attacked a drow in Hempstead (now I cannot really blame her for it, but then there are laws to be respected... ) and something about the Ninny Drows Goddes Temple in Audira.

Bad news, I've received a letter from Jin telling me Erk fell to Fisterion claws... I'll hold a service to his memory in a few days at the temple of Vorax in Ulgrid... I think Erk deserved that... strange as he was, he had a good heart and was a true friend.

I'm sure he has a good time drinking ale and eating roasts in the halls of Vorax. But I'll miss him for sure.

Well, a new name has been added on my list now...

Lately, I started collected dwarven lore and stories, and will begin to write them down and add them in my library, available for all kin that wish to learn of our kin's lore and history. My first scroll is the one I wrote in memory of Erk http://www.layonara.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=110779.
But I hope more will be added; History, tales, epic deeds, life and death of fallen heroes, etc...

Zoralje, that magicker who lost his honor isn't the nice guy we thought at first... or so it seem. He made us go into some dungeon to investigate rumors... Oh, the reason he lost his honor... he went with another lass than the one he loved... and blah blah... left his promise. Now he wants to find her again to make amend... don't think it will work, but well trying might bring the lad some honor back. Anyway... we went into this dungeon... full of ants, though none attacked us... and we found the queen, a red egg and the body of an adventurer with a sword... Rain picked the sword and began trying to destroy the egg with it... we managed to stop him, but I picked the sword up and fell unto the spell myself... Barion managed to restrain me and then Zoralje appear... somewhat angry... Then he escaped laughing telling us to go look for Cathrine (his maid or servant) for she was dying... so he says. So we went back to town... bashed into his house (tho' Barion managed to get a key... he was quite upset) and we found Cathrine lying on a bed, with a trail of blood leading to it from some kind of altar. Storold discovered that the lass had been poisoned by something called Black Lotus so me, Barion and Kobal ran to the nearest Druid and got a cure. Cathrine is saved now and we'll meet her again for she said Zoralje went to look for another clue (or item or whatever) in a desert in Dregar and that we might find him there (and maybe also a clue as to why he acted like this and maybe even where Mervion is (she's his promise of old)... we didn't have the sword anymore (Barion destroyed it, but the hilt is still down there, by the pool)

Well, Cathrine is fine again. She gave us a few clues as to where find Zoraje again... and we did. We found some kind of enchanting altar and Zoraje was still telling about finding the truth... whatever it is.

I went to Firesteep again the other day... even went back to the Dragon lair, but we were careful not to be seen this time. At least I saw where Erk had his last stand. Despite everything, Firesteep is a very impressive and rather... yes beautiful place.

Gilshem send me a note to meet him in Bloody Gate. There I talked a bit to Garth and we made a bit of fun about Gilshem and Nola, teasing him a little. Gilshem asked Garth to announce that he was going to see the king and I gave the lad my Cloak with Vorax symbol on him. I think he really deserved it after all he has done for the shrine in Bloody Gate. Well anyway, on our way to the Keep, I noticed that the dwarves around, despite working and having the occasional ale, where looking rather thin... and not many food stuff was to be seen. So we asked the new father about it and we learnt that indeed food was scarce. Larn, the acknoledge tradesman for Bloody Gate confirmed that. Tho' he didn't seem to care much for the people. I don't really trust the lad... he is not a dwarf and he was working for Gundferdom before. But it seems the folks around Bloody Gate aren't considering it a worthy point for Trade... bloody Bad risk they say the Gate is. Me and Gilshem will try and do our best, along with the Warlord to make things right until the fields yield crops and life can return to a more normal way.
After looking around, Gilshem finally get to go and speak to the King... first about the state of Bloody Gate and then about what really matters, Nola. The King said yes but... Nola had to relinquish any claim to the throne which she readily accepted (even when Gilshem asked her two or three times if she was sure). And then he asked Gilshem to recover something for him.
We set up for this and met with a shady lady in Katherian... bloody thief I say... 150'000 gold for the thing. Bloody arrogant too. But she took a 'liking' to Gilshem and said she was amused by him and would lower the price to 100'000 if Gilshem would serve her for one Month... I was outraged and ready to kill the lot but after lots of talk and angryness he convinced me to take the thing back to the Gate and tell Nola she would have to wait another month... well she wasn't too happy about this.
Well I hope Gilshem knows what he's doing... but if he doesn't I'm ready to go back to Firesteep and have Troff get down from there to hunt for that woman.

I have strange dreams of late... very real feeling dreams, though I cannot seem to remember much from them, except I seem to meet people I know in them.
The last one was the worst of all... but the memory of it is blurred and I have difficulties of remembering what happen in it... something with a drow and lots of death... and maybe some heroic deeds... most probably ;)

*written a bit shakily*

Been to Firesteep again, this time with Voon and Tegan... what to say... I died facing Two Adult Drake, while Voon tried to distract The Guardian... I'm not sure but as I was falling I catched a glimpse of the soul mother looking on Voon as he fell. I hope it was not it... but I fear it was.

//CDQ. read also the story by Telini Artima about it.

http://www.layonara.com/development-journals-discussion/116071-short-storries-telini-artima.html //

Well, as we were chatting in Hempstead, a dwarf called Tegnar approached me and Beli. He was with the Brotherhood and told Beli about troubles in Lyn. Giants were roaming and attacking Lyn's farmland, threatening the town's supplies. He was headed that way with a caravan of food from Ulgrid. So me and Beli, and a halfling called Telini who happened to overhear us marched towards the Mountains. We were met by ogres and giants in higher number than usual... they were probably out to get a share of the giants or maybe pushed away by them. As we reached a bridge... a huge Ice Giant magicker faced us, throwing spells at us. Luckily, we were protected but the fight was looking bad so we back off a bit and as we reached the solid ground, I cut the ropes holding the bridge and the giant pummeled down into the lake and drown. But my rash action hindered us and we were lucky to have Teli along. We lowered her so she could reach the end of the bridge laying below and we hoisted her up and tied the bridge again. Then after fighting our way through more ogres and giants we made it to Lyn, where we were told that we were expected by the farmlands. Tegnar met us there... he made it with the caravan so things weren't too bad for the town, but the giants were still causing troubles and if nothing was done the town of Lyn was going to suffer greatly. Tegnar told us that the giants were out because of the lack of supplies and food. But we couldn't let them roam the farmland as they pleased. Especially now that they were threatening Lyn itself too. So we prepared to hold them off helped by a few stout and proud dwarven warriors. They had built a hasty barricades so we made our stand there, forming a dwarven wall of shield, body and axes. Then we heard the sounds of battles and Giants approaching so we braced ourselves and met the oncoming assault with courage and steadfastness... and we held. Waves after waves crashed on our wall. The Giants dying by our axes, fighting bravely and honorably too, and taking their tolls too. One, then another of our dwarven companion were taken, until only Beli and I were left to hold the line. Another waves rushed towards us, and we dug our heals into the ground, holding our axes high and our shield straight to meet the assault. The giants almost got through our defenses but we held and Vorax be praised, it was the last wave.

As we were giving honours to the fallen, both friend and foes, Tegnar came running, telling us that the giants had been repelled and that the battle was won.

He bestowed onto Beli the title of Stonewill... and told me that he would speak to the General and ask that I would be promoted to the rank of Battlepriest Captain of Vorax, which is a great honor indeed. For now, until this is confirmed by the General or one of his envoy, I'll be acting Captain though.

Today, first adventure in the Underdark. With the crazy dwarf Ketil, Daeron, Rhynn, Beasty and a gnome.... and those two *grumbles* tricksters.

Went well... really... until we arrived on a narrow path looming over a deep chasm. Trouble began... Ketil died with one hit from a fist fighting drow. Hawk raised him and be pushed on... wondering where the drow went since no one seemed to have killed him.

After keeping heading down, we started climbing again, or so it seemed to me. But we met with resistance. Well, who would have thought squids were that though... when you see them you think you could crush them in your hand easy enough. Well maybe, but you need to get close first, and they seem to be able to hurt you bad from far away.

We got trapped, that's what it was.... a *grumbles* trap. The squids, aided by a few spidermen and women got us in a corner... attacking from above and each side... Rhynn was first to die, then Kinai and Ket, Daeron did soon after. Hawk tried to sneak past but got killed too.

So it was down to just me and Beasty... and I did the only thing left.

I shouted "FER VORAX" and charged the squids blocking what I thought was the way out.... soon followed by Beasty. Well... I took the worse of the spells right in the chest but managed to swing my a.. err... mace a few times before falling. (*notes to self* don't swing at those lizard looking thing with a big tail... they eat your weapon away, a lost my Battlecleaver to one, lucky for me Ket had a spare weapon, a mithril mace, well not as good as an axe, but better than a toothpick, like the one Rhynn wanted to lend me *grins*)

Those dreams again... and now I know they were dreams, but strange ones... not really my own it seems... the last one was more like a nightmare... In a drow city... being sold as a slave... the rest of it is somewhat blurred but I remember seeing stuff from those other dreams... I think, not sure... and something about a path? And there was one drow... this one was in one or two of the other dream too... but she helped us... or... yes... and we had to do something for her... find the path or something like that... Not sure

//Honor
Zoraje got a hold on Kinai... we kill him she died..
Cathrine is Mervion sister... seems she didn't tell us all.
She sent us to her old village, where Zoraje had a tower. He did experiment there and it seems he blew up one or something as Mervion disappeared and the people had to leave... we found the tower, entered it through his estate via a portal... found a book heavily warded and protected that we barely managed to remove... Boom, no more tower, glad we got out of there fast.

Several things happen after that I'm not sure I could recall very well... but we met again with Zoraje. There he wanted us to give our word that we would help him... but I refused and left his house. I hope the others know what they are doing. I let them know that if they need I'll still help them... but not Zoraje. I'm done with this all, though I'll keep an eye from afar... perhaps I will have a role to play before the end, perhaps not... time only will tell.

Again I had this strange dream... what is most strange is I can remember most of it now...
A drow killed a child and stole her soul... almost got mine too...

An Oracle told us about this... our dreams have been stolen... we need to get them back and we need to help that girl gets hers back too. She is the one controlling the dream.

Until them, the Crab told us, we will be unable to dream but for this dream. A dream that is more than just a dream. It can and will be dangerous.

I have to write this down.

Today I attended a session of the Council of Vorax. Others had been invited, as it was needed to discuss matters regarding our allies as well. So representing Vorax were me and Varka, Rofirein was represented by the Heart of the Dragon, Jennara and Kobal. While Rose and Clarissa were there in the name of Toran. Several topics were discussed, including Milara, The Dragons (Varka raised quite a stir with his White Dragon Scale and tale) and slavers.

Not much can be done at the moment about the dragon in Bastil, but it will be investigated... again?

As for Milara, well even if they say the treaty is ended, it still seems a bit too risky to enter the moutains. So for now we will still watch... and prepare as best we can for the coming storm.

But the slavers... this is a sore point... and I think it can be dealt with... I hope and believe. They dare took one of our kin in slavery... this is an offence that won't be forgotten nor forgiven. General Otek will see into this and discuss matter with Varka... but my axe will be ready when the time come to strike at them.

Krakaria

I answered a call for help from a one Lord Krakaria. He was leading a kind of monastery on northern Dregar where they taught children the art of war. But the children and that school were threaten by Hillkraken, a dwarf that has allied with giants and a magicker. Apparently they were after two children specifically that Krakaria first agreed to give and then went back on his word.

We were able to gather some allies to help the school while a group went after the magicker. We brought to the school a gnome inventor and received some help from the Goranites in Fort Highpass. A first assault on the school was successfully repelled but at great loss...

Then the others were able to rejoin us and along came several group of dwarves from the Runic Anvil Clan that we sent a plea for help.

Another assault was launched on the school and despite all our effort, we were pushed back into the inner monastery were we made our last stand.

While we were busy holding the gate, some enemies were able to sneak into the children quarters and killed some of them before we could help them... a bit of confusion occurs and we lost a few due to this. But we finally managed to kill all the invaders. But it was not yet over so we prepared for the final assault which soon began.

Again and again we repelled waves of enemies... until Hillkraken himself showed up... it took a lot of beating, but we finally took him down and into chains, badly hurt, for 'trial'. Lord Krakaria asked us to kill him outright, but we refused... save for Angela who fired an arrow at the back of the dwarf and killed it... No need to say that I and several others were most displeased with this... but what's done is done. Though even if the dwarf was evil, I believe he would have earned a more dignifed and honorfull death.

But then... the air grew thick... globes appears on the ground and we cleared the area... and the Magicker appears... and did something that rendered us helpess, unable to move. He mocked us, and then killed Krakaria's son and throw a dagger at Krakaria himself.. but once it flew out of the magick circle it stopped. Then he did something to the young girl he was after... We believe he turn himself into some kind of Lich, because he died and then was there again... then he left and the circle disappeared... As it did, the dagger flew again and killed Krakaria without us able to do anything.

Lord Krakaria's master at arms... made good on the lord's promise... and showed us to the treasury, where he gave a useful item to each of us... according to our abilities and skills. Old items, relics and heirlooms from the Krakaria treasury... but all of them in perfect shape.

But this is not yet over... for now we have to chase the magicker. Despite his threat that he would not only kill us but all our descendants if we do so. Well I won't yield for this... We will find him and put an end to his madness.

We did it, or so we think. The Lumbral are free after all this time. We gave our life for that, fighting Milara and his minions. We gave them enough time to come through the portal I and Lalaith opened. And Milara was unable to capture them for his own purpose... or so we think. But the question remains. Was Milara after the Lumbral, the Orb... or Ruben and his knowledge. The last seems to me the most improbable, why go to all that just to get the man.

Grohin Silveraxe: *shrugs and follows varka*

Varka Cleaveson: *drains the mug leans back again to refill the mug. Looks to Grohin while filling the mug again and places the bottle of whiskey on the table. Plaes his albows on the table*
Grohin Silveraxe: Den we walk' back ta Llast, killin' a few stray ogres warrior on da way dauwn. Da commander was content dat da job be done.. but nay happy. But da mountains shuld be less dangerous fer abit. We kill' 'undreds an' 'undreds ov Ogres warriors... der strength be much less nauw... an' shuld be fer a few years ta come.

I heard the Big red wanted to share some things with the 'heroes' of the land. So I went to the meeting point at the Stormcrest... lots of people were there. The speaker for the Dragon appeared a bit later and told us of people trying to capture dragon and force them into doing their will... he told us of one such party heading towards Bastil... and the white dragon there... Snowtooth. Despite reservation... and that of many it seemed, we did set out towards Bastil... trying to catch up with those men and try maybe to stop them.

A little goblin told us that they might be the same that use a poison to kill dragons... or so he thought (appeared later that the goblin was Sall really but that is for another time).

In Bastil... not far from Snowtooth lair, we were attacked by a green dragon... but it did not look that wall... oozing stuff from under his scales... yurk. But we managed to defeat him and kill him... after that we enter the cave nearby... only to happen onto a party of men and women heading deeper. Hearing our footsteps, they turned and told us to go back, for this was not our business... don't know why, but we attacked them... and most of us died during the assault...  pretty tough and powerful mages and fighter they were. But as I got the deadly blow, I got a glimpse of white and heard the roar of a dragon just as I hit the ground.

After that I was told that Snowtooth joined the fray and dispatched the attackers. It let the survivor in our group to take the dead and let us all out and safe. He said we distracted the attacker enough for him to be able to defeat them and thus spared our life and the life of many people as he said he would have attacked Leringard if we didn't help it.

What to say... all this matter with Sall being turned into a goblin and the Sall being a goblins and doing evil stuff around was true.

I met with Tegan and some other, including the little Gobbo Sall and we set out to find Sall body. Which we did in the goblins lair south of Vale.

We captured it and drag him along towards the Blackfeather mountains. We reach a place that Gobbo Sall remembered being the place where he was changed...

We managed to get both of them into some magical laboratory and managed to turn Gobbo Sall back into its trueself. But the other did not make it.

Not much was found and learnt there... so we got back down the mountains.

The Lucindites are daft.

They call for a meeting, calling out soldiers... raising the alarm everythere and then when people finally gather to help and learn what is going on they say we should not do a thing and didn't really told us anything (Or so I heard because I refused to enter the temple where the actual meeting was, instead I stay outside and discussed with Clarissa).

But one man came out and we followed him and ask him question.

It appears he was the one that spotted some strange happenings in the Molten Isle... apparently he believed they where about to Summon a manifestion of Pyrtechon. Well we set out to North Point and then towards that tower to get a boat and reach the isle... there as we pretended to be miners on our way to get some Addy and Cobalt, we were stopped by the temple and asked to go back down and away... the isle was closed.

Well, not wanting to start a war right away, we obeyed. We got back to the ship, but instead of going back to Dregar, we set sailed south along the Isle coast... and we stumbled upon a sleek vessel, just off the coast... when they spotted us, they fled and we were unable to catch up. We're not sure who they were, but believe they might have been another party of those Dragon enslavers.

Well, for now, all is quiet and it seem it was not that bad.. no one really knows what happen in the isle, but it is not the destruction of the world announced. And it seem the doomsayer has been punished.... perhaps I should ask Storold a bit more about all this.

*Grohin is seen writing in a small red notebook with silver lock and hinges smiling broadly as he do so*

I saved a whole tribe of Faeries today. Well me and several kin and one or two others. Jacrum, Argali and Hilda where there too, oh and the pink haired girl Abi, the daughter of Barion.

Anyway we were having a drink at the Shack when this Pixie flew in and collapsed to the ground. I rushed to help her of course and we healed her. Then she started talking but what she said did not make much sense at first.
'They have taken my branch and chased me' she said.

We managed to understand that she flew away from her own tribe for some reason and kept saying they took her branch... oh she was called Leaf. So despite some of the others opinion we set out to help Leaf get her branch back.

She hid in my beard during the travel.

We followed her direction in the Battlehelm swamp where we met two guards of her tribe... Leaf said they would attack us if we try to continue, so we tried to talk. But as we mentioned the name 'Leaf' they wanted to have her... they said she was wanted by the Queen, but did not say why or did not allow us to bring her.

So one of them attacked us while the other flew back to warn the rest of the tribe or the Queen.

We had to kill the guard as much as it pained me, but we couldn't do otherwise. After that we went deeper into the swamp and past it into the pixie grove where we had to fight to other guards. But Leaf still had friends in the tribe and we met two of them. Another pixie was with them but it was not friendly and the two others set on him and killed him. We were a bit shocked but that too had to be done. The two friend stayed back to turn off the others who were looking for Leaf so we could go into the Queen grove without having to fight too many guards.

We entered the grove and we found the Queen and the branch... who was another pixie... well not any pixie either... it was The Branch and Leaf was The Leaf. They hugged and started to spin and when the Queen want to stop them she was killed.

After a while the pixie spinning started to glow brightly and suddenly they were not there anymore... but there stand a taller pixie... the real Queen.

She thanked us for her help and she even bow to me in thanks... I gave her a bit of my beard as a 'souvenir' and we left her gather her tribe again.

It was quite an adventure. I feel like I repaid some of my debt to them pixies and faeries. Anytime one need my help she would gladly get it.

I went with Kobal, Varka, Lala, Tobby and one strange lad called Steel up to the Thunder Peaks and down into it bowels... where Kobal said there was old Dwarven ruins. Fighting alongside Kobal and Varka felt good... and we did very good. Nay Giants, nay Two-headed biggies... nay Yetis or Werewolf could stand in our way.

Not even the deader that inhabits the dwarven ruins now. And some powerful ones too. Kobal said something about them sacrificing themselves to protect something or guard something... a big Evil it seemed. I will have to search a bit on this... yes. Especially after who we met down there.

I'm not too sure it was true or not... but... we defeated a powerful deader that looked like some demons to me. It was a very tough fight and Varka almost died too... but I called for Vorax help and I believed he heard me... even this deep and in a place where his blessings didn't work. But the deader vanish... or so we thought but he came back... weaker and I managed to land the killing blow this time.

After that we went into a small defendable chamber to calm down and get ourselves back in shape. Lala told us she had a strange feeling back there where we fought the deader, like something to do with the shadows and maybe the Lumbral... she looked a bit down too as she said she hadn't heard of them since we brought them... and then...

There was like a flash of light and a pink shadow flew past Varka... we had just about the time to recognize it... Milara !

Kobal went after him and we followed but by the time we got out of the chamber he had vanished in the maze... leaving nothing but on footstep track in the dust. Kobal was furious... I had said we were lucky he did not attacked us but then Kobal make me see it... we could maybe have fought him there... his magick was like ours... NOT working... he was a drow without his powers... I reckon he would still have posed quite a threat and a epic fight it would have been but still...

Anyway he was gone and we missed our chance to know if we could have defeated him, but now the question is... What was he doing down there? Was he following us? Trying to get something back from us? Trying to or retrieving something from that place?

We don't know.. and just like with the Lumbral we are somewhat left with more questions than answers... And Lala didn't seem too happy either, and she also seem paler and not really that well.

Anyway... after recovering from the shock, we went deeper down and reached the bottom of the place... thank to Tobby who proved to be a very good guide... never once taking the wrong turn in the Maze.

That last plast.. gosh it was strange... magick was wild there and my blessings seem to work but also not really... sometimes it did the right thing and sometimes something unexpected like changing Kobal into a penguin... or casting strange things... not always nice either (I'm not saying turning Kobal into a penguin was nice thought... I'm not even sure it was one of my blessing or one of our enemies.

Tough fight down there too... several spirit, and other wretched things and a big guarding... but we defeated them all, even if some of us couldn't see a thing. Lucky for me the Sight worked as intended when I tried it.

Several pieces of ore we got from there... very nice. And several interesting items we recovered from the deader too. But not really anything useful to me as I had already some of them or couldn't really use them. But I took the ruby we found... first time I see one... nice gem. It's going to make a nice amulet I think.

Tobby took us out through the maze again without getting it wrong. And after that, the way out of the ruins and down the mountain went rather smoothly.

Find a new axe... mithril. Well not really found but bought. Not sure about the price.. good or bad but I'm still short 1 box of raw diamond, 1 box of raw saphirre, 4 or so box of Bodak... gosh got almost one out of the 5. And my account is down to next to nil. But hey... it's a mithril weapon.

Today I went again to the Thunderpeaks. With Goldwyn and Fenrir... and Stormy. We did rather good... as always when Fenrir is around. But we didn't go into the tunnels and the dwarven halls. We went up to the Arcs tower and fought them... On one of them I found a nice armor made out of Dragon scales.. copper one. It does make a good armor... So all I need to find now is a new shield... but first I'll need to pay for the axe I think.

I went to a meeting in Wayfare with Sallaron and few others. He apparently found something about a place under the Fort and wanted to retrieve something from there.

An entrance has been dug and we climb down the well. Lots of mechanical stuff both broken and working. Some... well.. most attacking us. We managed to get to some kind of smithy or crafting hall, where we put down a big Mithril golem... even manage to scrap bits of it.

A little bit further, we found a room that looks like it had been blasted badly. Sall picked up some kind of toy.. a glass orb with a tiny golden dragon and snow falling into it when you turn it  upside down. A very... very old book has also been retrieved and some papers and scrolls... historical stuff mostly... and some sketches.

But before long, the ground started to shake and the already cracked ceiling started to falls down chunk by chunk on us, so we made a quick escape through a trap door and managed to get out just in time.

What we found, I'm not really sure what it is all about, but Sall talk about a man called Pardaigh.. it was him who apparently wanted someting retrieved from down there.

I'll try to poke Sall into saying more.. if I can

The hunt for Mechidil artefact went well... if you don't count the fact we've been trapped down in the dungeon for several weeks... I was lucky to get rescued by Kobal after only a few... the others who did not listen to me got trapped for more than seven weeks and weren't looking well when they were finally rescued.

But the Bowl of Nature has been retrieved and given to the druids, and a spear, a holy items of Kitharien return to the temple of the Hunter.

*Grohin scribbles a few things, apparently not really meaning anything - the sayings of an old man, a scholar apparently, although a bit senile. He was found in a cave, hiding along others*

Birds and damsels in the spring.
Ofen together, but the grover does not knock twice.
Massacre is the butcher's second name.
Although his sausages sway the minds of weak men.

Dwarves are the hardiest of people. Forged from stone and ore,
they are the result of a poor brew that was tossed down from the heavens
and fell into a deep chasm. There the hated enemies were born as one. Dwarves and snakes alike.

In the days of darkness and greed there came to be the vilest of afflictions
wrought from the minds of those whom would unleash pestilence upon their own blood.
The screams of torment filled the air as blood congealed to a rancorous purulent sap from which life ebbed.
Wings fell from the skies and the rot polluted the soil and air.
Blood against blood.

These words I heard whil investigating an attack near Hampton on Vanavar.
Half digested horse, dead guards and dogs. The place of the massacre was quite horrible. The corpses already starting to decay, worms and flies.

It seems the attack either came from the sky or the attackers somehow were able to leave no tracks. But it must have come from the south... some of the dogs looked like they were fleeing from that direction. One of the horse seems to have been half-digested or burnt with acid. Also some wounds were made by slashing, others by a blunt weapon and there were bite marks too. That and the absence of tracks made us think the attack was made by a dragon.. although not by a big one if any, the bites weren't big enough. I know I fought two before and the marks they left on my armor were much bigger.

So we went to investigate and discovered that some people entered a cave not far. They were still there... after a bad starts (we killed the guards, though they did foolishly attacked us. But Alleina raised them afterwards) we met with Lady Thea Sanktini, who told us what happened to her and her followers.

She was a Lady of some importance in Phal, on the coast of Belinara, not too far to the north of Westgate in the Kuhl kingdom. Apparently, some trouble brewed there when the lord of the place, Lord Kolban Lastyn disappeared. His advisor, a former merchant with good looks and apparently a quick tongue was put in charge in his stead by the Queen of Kuhl kingdom.

That man, Arbos Nevsonger sounds suspicious to say the least. Some questions from us led us to to think he might be with the Dragon Cult as he is wearing a scarf all the time (hiding Green Dragon Tattoos?). Soon after the nomination of Arbos, people started to disappear, and those sent to look went missing too. New guards were hired, none of whom Thea knew.
Besides Thea told us they were pursued when they came to that cave, fleeing from whatever was happening in Phal. We found a dead dwarf, which was wearing, according to Sasha, the garbs of those serving the cult.

And we were attacked. A huge half-dragon entered the cave and attacked us. We managed to repel it, though with great difficulties and not without loss (The Orc that was with us fell in the first assault). But we weren't ready. After that, we decided to escort Thea's people to a safer place, towards Lor or maybe Stort. As we exited the cave, the beast attacked us again, but this time we were ready. And we hurt it badly before it fled... but again the fight wasn't without loss (This time, Steel went down). We managed to get them all safely to Hampton, were Alleina hired a ship and escorted them to Lor where we would meet later. As for us, we went after the beast to kill it this time, not wanting it to roam free or attack others, including the town.

We found the beast. It again attacked us, jumping on us from a ledge... the fight was hard and long and again it tried to flee when it was hurt too badly. But this time, we managed to catch it when it tried to climb a small cliff, trying to escape. And I dealt him the final blow. But we lost Bjorn in the fight. We rested a bit while Jacchri went scouting ahead along the small path the beast wanted to take and reported back there was a path leading to the beach. So we went on and met with the masters of the beast or at least its guardian. We managed to kill most of them, but unfortunately weren't able to take any prisonner, and at least one of them escaped with a longboat. I tried to set fire to it using my flaming arrows, but the one who escaped was a magicker and was able to protect the boat from the fire.

All was left for us to do, was to catch up with Alleina in Lor. That we did and then we sent the refugee to Stort, where they could start anew with the help of the Ravens.

VARKA IS GONE.

The king asked him and us to retrieve an artefact, a symbol of the gate, a symbol to remind the kings of their duty and devotion to the Gate. It was apparently taken away by the first king's nephew and not seen again since.
It was made by a battlefather from the first keys of the gate and mithril and blessed with Vorax power and the power of the rocks beneath the gates.

Fighting through hordes of huges bats and rats and ants, we made it to where the nephew.. turned to stone.

A curse was set upon the symbol, the 'Triqueta'. And there was only one way it could be retrieve. Varka sacrified himself for the Gate... forever standing in stone... I cannot really write much.. nor well to honor Varka's sacrifice.

No words will ever be good enough to describe what he has done. He will be missed, sorely... but I will honor his memory for as long as myself keep standing.

I've been traveling the mountain some lately... things are brewing up there. The dwarven king of old is stirring and the giants are gathering forces. Soon there will be a clash.

Tobias have been marked by the king and is bound? to help free the elves.
Fenrir seems bounds to side with the giants against the elves... where will I stand? Most certainly with the dead king.

Sasha gathered a group of friends to go and have a look in Phal... there we found that the town seem to be protected by a Dragon, Bastion. He does not seem to be too well... most certainly one of the enslaved and outgrown ones from the cult.

It was presented to the population and much accalaimed.. though, I wonder how much good it would be... he seemed blind and not too well. I believe he is used as much as protection from the outside as a way to control the local population.

Things are brewing in Hempstead too... shadows are roaming free, people are getting mad... a curfew set and ships searched.
I worst of all, I'm wanted in the town for something I'm not sure of. Seems all this is linked with Tobias' family and a curse set upon it.

Pirates were reported to attack merchants ship between Saudiria and Belinara... a group went to investigate but couldn' find much. I met them in Saudiria and tried to put a plan into action. The Navy sub-commander agreed to let me a ship and a crew... we disguised the ship into a merchant one and waited... not for long. Soon we were attacked by 2 pirates vessel. We managed to sink on and board the other and subdue the captain. Then we managed  (Lin'da did) to coax him into believing we were his crew and we sailed back to the pirates safeharbor...

En route we met with some Navy vessel and I managed to talk to their captains... soon a small fleet were following us.

Upon arrival, we disembarked some way away from the harbor, to scout the land while the Navy set itself ready for an attack in the morn.

Resistance was greater than expected and much more organised than simple pirates... most of those we faced were battle hardened veteran. Upon reaching the heighs over their main camp, we were surprised to found a whole army of soldiers, well trained and well armed, camping on the beaches. It was too late to delay the attack and soon 6-700 Hundreds of Navymen landed on the beaches and started the attack... while we did what could be done on the rear of the enemy.

Fierce fighting ensued, but suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, a big Dragon of tarnished gold attacked the pirates and killed most of them to the great relief of the Navy.. and the utter puzzlement of our little group. It seems the dragon was sick, like Bastion. But was it a pawn of the green cult or something else. We'll probably never know.

But soon after that battle, a treaty was signed between Sedera and Kuhl kingdom (Phal is in Kuhl).... and that is most troubling.... was these attacks of 'pirates' just a way to push the Sederan? Maybe...

A war or maybe just several battles in a war have been fought. Several groups were sent forth at the request of the Boyer Kingdom in order to stop the expansion of the Arcs under the leadership of Essrantor Aldtorskel, the witch king giants of the Thunder Peaks.

A first battle was fought near Dalanthar, before each group went their separate ways to do their task. I went with Kobal, Fenrir and many others to the halls of the Runic Anvil to search for clues on the Runes and the old Losthammer clan, the lost Dwarven clan that used to leave in the Peaks.

We did nay found much, but only confirmed a few things we knew already... three pillars are to be cast down if we are to end Essrantor reign. But we also found a ritual to learn parts of the past of the Losthammers.

So we climb to the Peaks and went down into the lost tunnels of the dwarves were me, Kobal and Fenrir performed the ritual... which showed us visions from the past...
How Essrantor acquired the first dwarven runes - a petty theft.
How a Losthammer escaped the final battle against the Arcs, carrying a baby.
How Cairnforge and nineteen of his faithfull dwarves chose undeath to protect their Runic tome forever.

As the last vision dissipated we found ourselves in front of the Dwarven King, Cairnforge Losthammer... and it is little to say he was not too happy to see us... and that we performed the ritual in his hall. He looked for the ones that did it... and me and Kobal were thrown back with tremendous force... but Fenrir... Fenrir, who would have guess... he, of all dwarves still holds Losthammer blood in his vein... he is a son of the Losthammers.

The King wasn't too pleased to see him though.. calling him a traitor to his blood. But Fenrir earn a bit of trust... and Cairnforge gave him a stone and his hammer, with the task to find the lost Elves.

That we did... though on our way out from the tunnels, we met a Giant's necromancer... the one responsible for the disease that - honorlessly - brought down the Losthammer, a disease or a curse, carried by rats, that turn those infected into soulless undeads. It is needless to say we killed that Arc... but I and another got killed by the rats he brought along... and many got wounds that started to turn black.

But we still reached the Elven crypt.. were we managed to get some rest and cure ourselves... thanks to Vorax blessing and a rune that Acacea copied from the dead Arc.

Fenrir used the stone to die... for only a form without blood could be allowed to speak with the Elven King. He gained access and we followed him.. battling the cursed undead elves... until we reached the king. Not much he could tell us, nor really help us... but he followed us out to the Lake where he called Cairnforge. But the barrier, the curse that prevented them to enter the tower was still there... and no news from the others that might have learn how to dipell it.

But something happened still.. a dragon, a ghostly dragon, much like the elve and dwarf appeared, bearing a hammer, three runes and a poem. He also told us of the last stand of our friends and allies in the fort down below, holding the army of the Arcs to get back to the tower.

They managed to revive the Dragon and the old Ethers.. both would be fighting alongside them, while the Cairnforge and the elven king would make their stand by the bridge leading to the tower.

While we push forward, into the tower to meet with Essrantor and bring down those cursed pillars.

But we got trapped in the entry hall, water slowly filling it. And as we tried the side openings, suddenly emptying and separating us as we struggle against the current. But we all finally rejoin and thought those Arcs left to defend the tower... finally reaching Essrantor throneroom.

He tried to bargain with us, offering his helm if we would leave... but that was not acceptable so we attacked... and killed him, while Fenrir used a rune and Kobal strike the middle pillar with the Hammer brought by the Dragon... thus destroying it... but they did not managed to destroy the other two, the hammer shattering against the second pillar.

But as the first pillar collapsed and Essrantor died, he mocked us and TWO Essrantors appeared from the remaining pillars. Fearing what would come, we attacked and did not let them speak again. That was one terrible fight, but the King of the old Ether managed to reach us and help us in the fight... and we finally brought down both clone of Essrantor.

But the tower started to collapse too, and we had no time nor any means to destroy the remaining pillars, so we left... at a run. The giant carrying us through the drowned hall out in the open...

The tower collapsed in parts... lots of dust rose into the air and lots of things happened then that I'm not yet sure what they are... or what the consequences will be. But our war against Essrantor is for now over... his power diminished and his expansion stopped. But he is not vanquished.

I couldn't believe my eyes. Ruben is alive. The Path as been reopened. Apparently, The Cult stole Turhan journal and reopened it. What doesn't surprise me is I'm once again in the thick of it. Seems like this journal and me are best buddies. Old friend Ruben... and to think I saw him died at the hands of Milara and it's minions.
